    Pros

Good learning opportunity for an year or two. Then move on to a better company.

    Cons

Poor pay scale. Training not as intensive. Since field job, so no lunch facility in substations.Have to bring your own. Not MNC, but Gujarati culture. So only good for those from Gujarat. Mostly supervision work.

I worked at Torrent Power full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you get your posting in your Home Town, like Agra, Ahemdabad can work. Technically you will get much exposure (Not by Training, but by actual work), but at initial level upto Manager, there is much workload, less employee base. Cost cutting is more and senior management behavior is very rude. HRs will never listen employees concern, they will favour only senior management.

    Cons

Have to do Overtime, for which will get no extra benefits, neither comp-off.

    Advice to Management

1.Make it a little employee friendly. 2.Reduce cost cutting in small things like Mobile phones, allowances etc.
