    Pros

    New upper management across the board. No longer a culture of fear walking around the home office, and hopefully some good results will follow.

    Cons

    Old administration harmed the company culture and gave the employees completely unrealistic goals. Lack of a plan for winning across the board lead to poor results. Lots of talented people left due to these issues.

    Make sure to understand what is going on outside of Tustin.

    Pros

    Comfortable work conditions and good benefits. Great work/life balance. Less beaurocracy then larger competitors, so able to be more nimble in changing strategy and able to come up with specific approaches to customers.

    Cons

    Many non revenue driving positions are overpaid. Company was severely damaged by prior management, thankfully they're gone. Fighting upfill battle against larger competitors in a very uncertain medical imagin market.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Go back to what made this company a player in the mid 2000's. Hire great salespeople and reward them when they sell. Capitalize on renewed energy now that prior managemnet is gone. Recognize loyalty(people who stuck it out during the last 5 years), and do not bring people in at higher salaries than these loyal employees.

    Pros

    Good products and great people were the cornerstone of TAMS' differentiation for customers and employees. A good company that could be a great one if/when leadership realizes that TAMS is not Siemens. As people, leadership team are great folks but lack the customer-facing priorities of previous teams that delivered better results.

    Cons

    A cottage-style company that is expected to thrive in a data-driven environment adopted from a different context entirely. Hi performance and talent retention requires a culture that recognizes the importance of matching market potential with employee and corporate skill set. When management implements juxtaposed infrastructure, the result is what exists today at TAMS. Those that drove former success have left the building. Replacements are coveted and protected regardless of skill-set or performance with many "friends" brought in to fill positions vacated by very good people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take time to understand what TAMS really is vs what TMSC wants it to be. A bridge must be crossed to get there, but that bridge has not been built. A CRM is not that bridge but rather a small piece of the puzzle only. More tools are needed in the toolbox that consider historical perspective, market dynamics, realistic competitive position, strategic objectives and combine those with a corporate culture that matches rather than opposes those tenants. Do it honestly and without preconceived expectations and the people at the top of TAMS can pull it off.

    Good support base to the field, can get problems under control with help from above.
    Good training in CA to learn the equipment.

    Cons

    The influx of GE upper managment to change the way things were done to the detrament of the worker and customer.
    Managment can get away with anything if there numbers look good,

    Good company with great people. 37.5 hour work weeks, it feels like a small american company with large pockets from a Japan heavyweight.

    Sales are declining and that is causing a lot of cutbacks and stress.
