    Pros

Great benefits, some friendly people to work with.

    Cons

Too much back stabbers and favoritism in departments. Makes you work hard but you never can go further. Too many cheifs not enough indians. Company lays off alot with out notice. No training and the bosses treat the little people like their nothing and your the one doing all the work. Be careful too much clicks in the departments. Would never go back.

I worked at Toshiba (More than a year)

    Pros

Having the ability to work with such a diverse group of people in the workplace was refreshing - having someone from almost every country on the planet in one office was fascinating. Everyone has different ideas that can help ease the pains of trying to muster through the same stuff day after day.

    Cons

The biggest downside is the accounting department and not being able to pass an audit. There is no whistleblower protection in the organization and unless you are delivering good news, management does not want to hear how messed it up it is.

    Advice to Management

Listen to all employees, not just the one's who yell the loudest. Often times the quiet ones who observe the most, can tell you exactly what is happening. Drop the reigns and allow collaboration. There are people there that really care about the organization and want to make it succeed. But with dishonesty, lack of empowerment and integrity - there is nothing left.

I have been working at Toshiba full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's rewarding, you write your own commission checks, excellent benefits, great work/life balance

    Cons

It's not easy, it's a tough position. You have to be used to the absolute worst in people, and you have to be able to let it roll off your back and keep right on going.

    Advice to Management

More hands on training. Initiate more national/regional get togethers, this is the best place to source new ideas and concepts. Training workshops with other offices.
