I worked at Total Credit Recovery full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Anyone with minimal english speaking abilities can apply and attain a job at this company. If you are new to the country with zero work experience you will get a call centre job here as a collection officer.

    Cons

There is a lot of favouritism at this company amongst managers and directors. Salary is very low and work demands are high, no pension and weekend and night work involved. Very high turn over rate, there is a revolving door policy with hiring. Most employees quit within the first 1-3 weeks. Poor training, training before going on the floor has no relevance to the actual work involved while on the phone. Human resources does not care for the concerns of the employees rather focuses most of their attention on regulating rules and policies that don't apply fairly to the general employee base. Human resource will not help you achieve or direct you to achieve career goals. No room for growth within the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the favouritism and actually allow the employees with high potential to apply their skills by delegating and distributing the business fairly. More focus needs to be put on employee satisfaction and less on ONLY generating annual revenue for the CEO.

I have been working at Total Credit Recovery

    Pros

Good Training, good support while learning, no micro managing, quiet work environment, relatively modern equipment and phone systems. If you have no experience they start you in an easy department and when you have sufficient skill or experience move you out as needed.

    Cons

Not the most efficient collection agency in terms of how certain teams are managed. Some of the strategies implemented have to be looked and and improved.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at the different strategies and how efficient they are. Look at dialler campaigns and how efficient they are. Look at building more of a team environment.

I worked at Total Credit Recovery

    Pros

-An opportunity to improve speaking skills, especially when speaking with debtors.
-Much like a sales job, learn how to persuade people (in this case, to pay their debts)

    Cons

-Management coming down on employees whenever target are not met but as a solution for improvement, offer no good advice
-Micromanaging how employees conduct their work, sometimes wasting time with paper work

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-ALL employees know that the job requires them to meet collection targets and if they fail to do so, there will be consequences.
-There should be less micromanaging on how employees conduct their calls and less paper work
-more paper work means less time on the phone
