    Pros

The culture is excellent. Most people are very friendly.

    Cons

The pay isn't that great if you arent a broker. Its very clicky... If you aren't friends with certain people its hard to move up.

I worked at Total Quality Logistics full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Upper management and everyone in the office cares about your success. Beer on Fridays and casual days are amazing. Average age in the office is 20 something so it was nice being around similar people.

    Cons

Cold calling all day. There is a database of leads/prospects, you select who you want to call and go from there. Rarely are you given a warm lead. Hours are very long too. You are expected to put in 80+ hours a week in order to be successful. The industry of transportation can be a little sketchy too.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you're doing. Find a way to incorporate more work/life balance and ways to reduce stress.

    Pros

There's a huge emphasis on the team and also having fun. You learn new skills that will stay with you long after the job, and there is an opportunity for making a lot of money.

    Cons

It's hard. Some weeks your board is empty or a load drops out. At some point, though, you realize they are paying you to continue trying to make money, so it's how you look at it.

I worked at Total Quality Logistics full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Beer at work. Informal environment. Solid training.

    Cons

Less than 1 percent make it past 2 years. Only half those actually make the 6 figure type salary advertised. Have to work with unprofessional coworkers and truckers. Very high stress environment. Expected to work 24/7.

Also you start with a draw that can take months or years to dig out from to generate commission.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire experienced professionals more often and help them by giving established accounts to manage. Hopefully they will help teach all the young people to behave with professionalism and integrity.

I have been working at Total Quality Logistics

    Pros

This job will provide nothing but the best training. They give you all the tools you need to be successful.

    Cons

The base salary is 35k and when you take out taxes and insurance you end up getting about $970 bi weekly and you put in over 40+ hours a week. Once on commission they only give you 25% of your earnings and 20% if the customer has worked with tql before. They are a little on the greedy side.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give good brokers a pay raise of 50k a year until their account is up and running. It will raise morale and produce productivity.

I have been working at Total Quality Logistics full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Beer drop Fridays are nice. They have good workout facilities that are free. Building is nice and training is provided.

    Cons

Lack of integrity and commitment to employees. Employees are treated like bodies and the business model is to churn through new hires hoping someone becomes a cash cow for them (unless you went to school with the executive leadership). Extremely high attrition rate throughout company. Be careful of positive reviews on this site. Executive leadership have fake positive reviews written to offset the bad reviews, which is a good example of the level of integrity.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is not interested in advice.
