Your interview was dead on when you told us we were going to work but there was money to be made
I just started here a few months ago and I just started sales training. I have hit my goals and I can't wait to see what the future brings to me in the next few years.

Current Employee – been working at Total Quality Logistics full-time for more than a year
Pros – Opportunity (though very slim) to make a lot of money. Perks after you become a "sr". Their time off policies seem very pleasant at first but with the goals expected to meet it is difficult to take time off and the goals do not pause for you. You are basically an independent. Management does not interfere too often. Base compensation is not terrible either for sales positions. But if you are looking for some kind of stability a support position would be much more suitable. The company does invest in technologies to make it easy once you learn it though.
Cons – Hovering around 80% turnover in the first 6 months and around 65% in the first year (among sales positions). Standards they want you to meet are more than double competitors so gaining business is often a struggle. Even if you gain them, retaining them is difficult because of this and penetrating to gain all of their business is 75% less than other companies. The company develops backbiting and angst among coworkers as there are no real discipline for breaking rules. Most leaders are not management type they are people that have developed good customers and succeeded in the eyes of the company. They do not invest in developing you during your employment for long term success. With a turnover rate this high it would be difficult to start fresh every few months with new sales positions, so hard to blame them. After hours teams not thoroughly trained so expect calls from time to time as you are asked to be available 24/7.
Advice to Senior Management – Need to develop actual members of management not successful brokers so their is some investment on individuals success. Also, come up with an actual system of discipline of breaking rules other than not meeting goals. May want to rethink your long term success plan and how the longevity the business. Our relationships and reputation with carriers are failing because how most individuals are treating them and customers are becoming aware that our high prices yield many of the same services as our competitors.

Current Employee – been working at Total Quality Logistics full-time for less than a year
Pros – -Fairly casual dress
-They give you a TQL shirt you probably won't wear much when you start
-401k
-Hired me out of college, can't blame them for that
Cons – -Their draw system is set up in a way that puts the odds way against you, meaning everything has to go right in order for one to get on commission within a year, and trust me, unless you are coming in with serious connections, you aren't going to get there. From the March-August training classes in my office, only three employees have a CHANCE at paying off their draw and getting on commission
-Have to work a lot of Saturdays and frequently have to tend to work at late hours if you run into issues
-Several of the positive reviews on glassdoor are written by HR members of TQL, just look at how they are written
Advice to Senior Management – Unfortunately, TQL's business plan allows them to have such high turn over rates , while not having to worry about losing much investment on each employee. I met Ken Oaks when he came to our office and was very unimpressed. His advise was extremely generic. And, being a billion $ man, would it have killed you to pick up lunch for the 100 slaves you were visiting?

Current Employee – been working at Total Quality Logistics full-time for more than a year
Pros – The job is tough and it is in a very competitive market. If you're not looking for a challenge, then you wouldn't be a good fit.
Cons – It's a challenge. It takes hard work for 1-2 years to really get established. The executive team and marketing teams work together to provide some awesome rewards for the employees though.
