I have been working at Tower Engineering full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very relaxed working conditions. Have a nice friendly atmosphere. Relaxed timings and Holiday structure based on employee-manager relations and employee efficiency.

    Cons

Low paying company from industry standards. Lack of communication across departments. Limited scope in growth and career opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Needs to improve salary structure if wanting to keep employees happy and have low attrition rate. Train and develop future leaders. Improve cross training and leadership development programs.

    Pros

Relaxed work atmosphere. Get to travel around the country and climb cell-phone towers.

    Cons

Work/life balance on the road isn't great. Office work is very clerical considering the competency of the workers.

    Advice to Management

Bid for more interesting projects to keep the workforce interested and turnover low.

  3. An OK place if you're happy about low pay, long hours and a high school type of cliquey atmosphere.

I worked at Tower Engineering full-time

    Pros

Opportunity to travel, ability to learn a vast array of fields, no dress code, can bring pets to work, ability to split time between office and field

    Cons

Pay is very low compared to other comparable engineer salaries. You are expected to put in 45-60 hours per week, even though they do all they can to rig the system to pay you as little as possible. The company is run by engineers, not business majors, and it shows. Nobody has an office or a desk, they buy the cheapest chairs that cause back problems and make you work on picnic tables in a 'mosh-pit' type of atmosphere. Overall there are unethical, shady business practices involved at almost every level.

    Advice to Management

Things used to be better, but in the last couple years the perks that offset the low pay have slowly gone away. Any attempt at being professional and well-dressed are met with criticism and there is absolutely no structured training program.
