I have been working at Tower Loan

    Pros

The money is great for entry-level or college graduates.

    Cons

Very Stressful. Sometimes gave unrealistic sales goals and chasing(going to people homes).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Consider the employees suggestions.

  3.

So far I have been satisfied. 7 months in and like any job it's work but it it's not bad.

I have been working at Tower Loan

    Pros

Money and work is decent, nothing too bad to complain about. Supervisors ask a lot of managers but no more than other companies do.

    Cons

The unwarranted negative stigma of working for a finance company. Lunch breaks are unpaid for hourly associates, not a big deal but would be nice.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Shorten the training period for trainees if they have developed the tools to run their own office.

I worked at Tower Loan full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Salary was great. Gained experience

    Cons

Horrible management Stressful with long hours

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop over working your employees. The stress working there will drive people to anxiety attacks

I worked at Tower Loan full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

They will hire people without experience.

    Cons

They dont care about your family life or personal endeavors. My mother had emergency brain surgery, they fired me when i requested off to visit her.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Show some compassion. My supervisor said they run the company not based on heart. That its all strictly business. When someone has a family emergency, dont fire them for it.

    Total crap

I have been working at Tower Loan

    Pros

None- they don't like for you to take off and expect you to bring in an excuse when you do.

    Cons

The worse company I have ever worked for. They expect you to work your butt off and don't pay you! I would work over 40 hours a week and they didn't pay overtime, which is illegal BTW. A totally unrewarding job. Beware. They also cross the line of being unethical to their customers. Do not waste your time with these people. They are greedy and selfish. Don't ever expect you to take time off, even if you are sick! I wouldn't even give them 1 star. I wouldn't wish this job upon my worst enemy. I would rather work at McDonald's.

I have been working at Tower Loan full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Being in an office as opposed to working outside in the elements

    Cons

Having to call people over and over again when they just don't answer their phones because they don't have the money. Then having to call their references when those poor people have nothing at all to do with the account

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop having to call references and make the "flex pay" actual overtime pay of time and a half as opposed to less than minimum wage

I have been working at Tower Loan full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    The money isn't half bad.
It involves no thinking or physical activity.
    Group meetings are good.

    Cons

It is extremely unrewarding and boring.
    They don't care about people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give your employees a break. Give your customers a break. If you make it all about the people, all the money issues will take care of themselves.

Current Employee - Branch Manager in Pekin, IL

I have been working at Tower Loan full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    -good pay
-monthly stipend of $200 for managers
-generous bonus for well performing offices

    Cons

    -hard to reach goals
-customer base is not the easiest group of people to work with
-chasing customers to their homes or business
-spending lots of time at the office to get numbers in line specially loan volume and delinquency

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In general management is very helpful, however the supervisors who support the branch managers seem to be over worked. Most of them have offices spread across two states, and many are unable to stop by their offices as much as they should.

    I worked at Tower Loan

    Pros

I enjoyed working with a great team of people that cared about their jobs as i did. It is pretty easy to move up in the company as long as you reach your goals and drive sales etc.. Good bonuses and salary!!

    Cons

Collections can be stressful. also as a trainee, the anticipation of not knowing what office you are going to end up in once promoted is a drawback.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Diligent training is key to running a successful office.
