I have been working at Towne Park part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The hours are very flexible because you get to choose your own. The company culture is very welcoming too.

    Cons

The pooling of tips makes tips not worth while and thus people not wanting to work in understaffed conditions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More incentives!

I would give them no stars!

I worked at Towne Park full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Cash everyday in the form of tips. Trust me the company lowers your hourly wage based on how much tips you earn.

    Cons

Management is horrible all the way to the top. They are purely $ driven which is great and all except its a hospitality industry. This company doesn't care about their employees period. I was told I was being demoted from a management position to an hourly supervisor position in a hospital lobby as guest were walking bye. Professional right?

All those positive reviews you see are people whose sole job is to keep an eye on pr and put a positive spin on the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Jerry good luck on your billion $ goal! Maybe you should listen to your valets and not your managers who all yes sirs.

I worked at Towne Park full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Tips + Hourly usually put your combined hourly pay well above minimum wage.
    Higher class clientele.
Overall good job to have without a required degree.
    Paid cardio workout.
    Excellent for a college student.

    Cons

Managers do not know how to run the business at many sites.
Their 3 write-up termination policy is handled ineffectively and unfairly.
Favoritism is clearly evident. Employees who want their job and perform excellently could get fired before an employee who constantly curses in front of management gets fired. That's just how it goes.
The entire company does NOT focus on helping their employees. They focus solely on their own profit margins, and they'll cut you down before you get in the way of that.
They aim to be a billion dollar company in 10 years time, yet they cut your pay and never give raises in a majority of the available positions, and they'll use this as their way to get to a billion.
My site spent a mere 1.7% on employee labor. The rest of the 98.3% was pure profit. Then they'll tell you they can't give employee raises? Please.
Transfers to other properties under this company is nearly impossible. Some managers will fire you before they approve your transfer, no matter what the circumstances are.
Account managers sometimes become employed into their management position instead of working their way up from an entry level position. This means that they do not know the ins and outs of the daily business, therefore they won't understand your concerns.
Write-ups are often given out, even for terrible reasons. (i.e.: "Getting into a car accident on the way to work does NOT excuse you from the rest of your scheduled shifts. Even if your car isn't operable." ~TownePark Management). This ended in written documentation and an employee termination.
Even the state labor laws don't stop managers from running their employees into the ground. If it's busy, expect to work a minimum of 8 hours STRAIGHT, with no break. They won't hesitate to schedule you for 10-14 hour shifts if the day is expected to be busy. And a break? No. What is that? You won't get one on days like these. Sometimes, if a full week is expected to be busy, they'll schedule inconceivably insane hours (i.e.: 3pm-2am on Thursday & 6am-4pm on Friday). If you don't like those hours, oh well. They'll gladly take your job from you.
Often times, when it's busy and extra labor is necessary at your site, other employees from other sites will be scheduled at your site to help out. If it's too busy to give everyone breaks, the management will even buy lunch for you! BUT if your site doesn't have anyone from other sites working at the time, they won't buy you lunch, even if you've been working for 12 hours straight. They put up a front when other employees and management are on site, but as soon as nobody is there to snitch, their "concern" goes out the window.
The company prides itself on having a "high turnover rate". With normal companies, this is a bad thing. But TownePark twists this fact to give it a false-positive front. Instead, they say that they "constantly welcome new employees". However the truth behind that statement involves firing valuable employees who want to be employed or causing them to quit, and then hiring employees who don't want to be there who don't care about their jobs. This ends in a constantly high turnover rate just because TownePark doesn't care about their employees.
Will you enjoy your time with this company, probably not. But with that said, they still won't care.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change your policies so that employee dedication increases. Train and hire management that will CARE for their employees rather than just sit in their office doing emails for 8 hours straight. Hire managers who specialize in HOSPITALITY! Not managers who get into fist-fights with bellman in the hotel lobby area... or management who will tell you they're there for you and will help you with any concerns you may have, but NEVER follow up with you or show an ounce of concern for you. Carefully monitor site's performance and procedures. Make sure employees are treated RIGHT with RESPECT, instead of treating them like slaves.

I have been working at Towne Park

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, usually good tips, can be a fun environment (depends on the day/ site), opportunity to meet great people, networking, friendship building

    Cons

Low base pay, horrible management (with exceptions), exposure to elements, rude guests, bad workers are not disciplined so their behaviour continues, standing for 8+ hours, talked down to by guests and bosses

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to manage. Yelling at workers in front of guests is not acceptable. Nor is not following through on multiple promises. Leading by example is something the founder of this company preaches, but not something I have seen very often with managers on my site. Whether it be speeding in the garage, parking personal vehicles in the proper place, running to vehicles instead of walking, etc.--your workers will not comply if you don't, and just as you can see that they don't, they can see that you don't.

    I worked at Towne Park

    Pros

Its just an over broke JOB so don't expect any cozy positives from this company

Towne Park is lazy when it comes to providing for their own

Its a good college part time job that is all

    Cons

Hiring is a pyramid scheme. The company convinces people to accept positions by making promises of high pay and flexible hours, but they disappear when it's time to train or develop them
Managers average 70 hours per week including weekends
    Horrible hiring/training/and retaining practices
Propaganda of phony promotions with high level pay used to keep miserable company moral from going lower
Low pay and support for valets and underlings
Assistant Account Manager position created as a way to give clients a manager but without needed to pay a managers salary... aka a way to throw some poor young kid who is not knowledgeable into a management position and not provide them a management salary despite having all the management responsibilities coupled with Towne Park's quest for perfection dumped on their shoulders. All to bring "value" to clients who want it all for less. What a winning formula
