I worked at Towne Park part-time for more than a year

    Pros

It was fun working with a team of valets and together with the hotel. They also worked very well with my school schedule!

    Cons

The pay is low with no raises. When the hotel had events, the stress and chaos was through the roof because there was no organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your workers like adults, not young punk kids not good enough for the real world.

I worked at Towne Park full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

direct management was great to work with if they let you do your work instead of hovering waiting for you to screw up

    Cons

Company has too much over head wanting more money so they come down hard as if the valet business isn't fluid enough.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

give your employees something to work for.

It's a joke of a company that pretends to be something it's not.

I have been working at Towne Park full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Cash in your pocket every day. Not a lot of it, so it's only kind of a pro. In 4 years of working for this company, I've averaged ~$30 per shift in tips. Not nearly the $100+ you'll think you'll be making.

    Cons

Management doesn't care about you. The lowest position in this company is the assistant account manager. Everyone else is disposable. You don't make nearly as much as you're led to believe in interviews. Terrible uniforms.
The company is built on the "good ole boy" mentality and nothing will change that. Unless you fit in to the standard, no promotion is possible. And if you raise your voice about this, you're automatically in line to be written up for anything they can find to fire you.
You are encouraged to lie about your tips instead of declaring full amounts. It's not hard to encourage that, if you declare full amounts you get paid nothing.
    No raises. Ever.
No paid time off, no sick days, no vacation.
Tip theft is rampant since you have to pool tips. There is no care about this from your account manager or Hr or anyone higher up. Sure, they'll publicly speak out against it, but nothing is actually ever done. If you complain, look at above. You'll be in line to be gone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Shake up your management. Do better than "free Gatorade for a happy picture" once a year. Get some real anonymous reviews of what conditions are like at your sites and get them from your hourly employees, not management who will lie.
Don't pretend that we are going to space. We park cars. That's it. Anyone can do it, and the worst people go to Towne park.
Have a happy Towne park week!

    Worst Higher Level Management ever

Former Employee - Valet Attendant  in  Edison, NJ
Former Employee - Valet Attendant in Edison, NJ

I worked at Towne Park full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Tips are good occasionally- the people you service are nice.

    Cons

There are never any promotions. You will stay stagnant for your time here. Upper management like account managers and assistant account managers do not care about anyone but themselves. Absolutely horrible communication practices. The leadership here is non existent. The money is terrible. You can make more money at McDonald's and be treated better.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of current account manager and aam in the Northeast they will tear down every single one of your employees. This is not the first complaint nor will it be the last.

I have been working at Towne Park full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Opportunity to advance in company if you're willing to move.
Experience dealing with upper level hotel management (can also be a con).
    Great for learning people skills.
    Very fair salary.
    Very fast growing company.

    Cons

Work/life balance sucks. I work just about every single weekend while the account manager takes every weekend off. I also work late into the night just about every day too... 9, 10, 11 o'clock, sometimes later.

Many of the hotels you work like to use Towne Park as a scapegoat.

I was sold on the fact that I wouldn't be working so much in hotels but rather with hotels. This was completely false and I really don't like working in hotels so I feel like I was somewhat duped. If you like working in hotels then go for it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Such a big and diverse company that I won't even pretend to think that my experience is universal so won't bother giving advice (they wouldn't care anyway).

I worked at Towne Park part-time for more than a year

    Pros

None. I honestly did not find one single positive thing to say about this employer. I was extremely unhappy the year I was there.

    Cons

No medical benefits and no paid time off. Company is top heavy. These people are greedy and only care about raising prices for parking.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees more and stop being greedy.
