I have been working at Townsend & Associates

    Pros

They gave me the opportunity to get my foot in the door and they have good communication.

    Cons

To start, we get paid much less than the other contractors with different agencies. Also, they give you no chance to earn any vacation time at all. Every other agency at minimum has it where if you work a certain amount of hours, you earn a day off. Not townsend; you don't work, you dont get paid. Lastly, there's no paid holidays. Some other contractors that I work with, who are with different agencies, get paid holidays.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your contractors like normal full time workers. It's a little ridicululous to not be able to earn even one vacation day after working a year.

    Pros

If you are looking for experience, the opportunity will look great on your resume.

    Cons

There are too many politics. Management is weak in the sense they do not hire the most talented or productive. They hire the "Yes Men."

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should focus on Talent not Personal Relationships.

I have been working at Townsend & Associates as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

The recruiter who assigned me to this position was a pleasure to work with, but has now moved on as a recruiter for another employment agency.

    Cons

No paid holidays or vacation, inconvenience of undergoing a drug screening only for a temporary or contract position. When one is making himself or herself available to for work, the candidate isn't assigned to a recruiter unless a recruiter has an assignment, which is finally a perfect fit for the candidate. The candidate needs to call into the administrative assistant for make himself or herself available to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's not a good idea to set one of your contractors up with your next door neighbor.
