    Great place to work for.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGood pay, above average benefits, good work environment without repetition of doing the same job for the entire shift.

Cons2nd shift hours are not good for family life, actually a split between 2nd and 3rd shift. Not a good start time or end time.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsTrying to be a friendly company but going the route of all modern corps.

ConsOver working employees. Too many tiger moms thinking the employees are less than using too much mapping.

The most backward place. But you learn a lot on cars

    Toyota Worker (Current Employee)
    Portland, OR

Prosbenefits and working with different people learning their cultures.

ConsTo many managers telling people to do different thing at once. Which makes no sense. To many chief and not enough cooks.

Advice to Senior ManagementThey need to go back to school to learn to run the place better. Their just a few that know how to get people moving and keeping professional.

    Dealerships

    Assistant Service Manager (Current Employee)
    Springfield, VA

ProsProduct and value of the company are great. Great place to work at when wanting to learn how dealerships function and business is ran. Possible lifetime employment.

ConsOpportunity. Opportunity. Opportunity. Even at the dealership level, its all who you know. If you are excelling in your position, they will keep you where you're at. Seems like everyone is capped off at some point and no room for improvement. Hours for Service Advisors are crap.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease take the time and see what your 'younger' employees are yearning for and give them the
opportunity to go for it. You will lose them to your competitors if not careful, and the value learned at Toyota will be applied to elsewhere.

An okay place to learn the auto industry while surrounded by dumb people

    Manager (Former Employee)

ProsIntriguing corporate culture has a lot to teach the world about planning and achieving a plan. The Toyota Way is a very valuable process

ConsYou could learn the Toyota Way in a case study at business school. Most of the day-to-day work is mind-numbingly boring.

Advice to Senior ManagementBring the Toyota Way into the 21st century- focus on delegating authority and reducing the number of layers of management
