    Great Place to work

    Project Intern (Former Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

ProsToyota has a really good environment, great people and a tremendous work culture. As a fresher, the opportunities to learn are limitless. The management is good and willing to listen.

ConsPay is lower and growth is slow due to recession in automotive sector. Other than that, workload is high and working hours get stretched due to location of the plant.

Good Company to start up but lot of cons

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGood organisation to start the career.
    Good salary structure
Can learn a lot about problem solving, Kaizen techniques, Quality tools

    ConsToo much hierarchy.
Management take lot of time to decide any action and all the action are dependent on Japanese people
    No work life balance.
No clear direction from top management, no clarity about job profile.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease improve the coordination between management and employees.
Also encourage out of box thinking among employees.

Good experience but it kills your personal life

Graduate Engineering Apprentice Trainee (Current Employee)
    Bidadi (India)

ProsGood senior management, brand name, opportunity to witness and learn TPS first hand, good amount of responsibility given even to trainees

ConsZero work life balance, leaves not granted easily, too much paperwork, unnecessary surveys, too many redundant formats, red-tape, the lowest pay you'll find in the industry for graduates

Advice to Senior ManagementRaise salary of GEATs to retain the good ones, reduce the 18 month trainee period, give a better designation once trainee period is complete. Employees need to be given an image of having some self worth compared to their peers in other auto companies.

Work is best but the work load is quite heavy

    Summer Intern (Former Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

ProsHigh freedom of work, you can roam around if you want any data. Work culture is completely Japanese, necessary to be a busy bee. The food was free and it was the best you could possible have for the rest of your life. The Managers are very intelligent, you get trained more in 2 months than what you learn for 2 years in a classroom

ConsWork load is immense. I could barely sleep during my internship. Idea theft is at its peak, words should be chosen carefully

My experience at TKM was miserable

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Bidadi (India)

ProsGreat learning in the plant site; good transport facilities

ConsHigh work Pressure; Unreasonable deadlines; Women unfriendly; Not open to ideas and dominated by certain top management views and ideologies. Stagnation of people in the same roles for a very long time , hence no room for new ideas and development

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease rotate people to divisions and departments more often.

    Bangalore (India)

ProsGood opportunity to learn, not good company for beginers

ConsApart from Religion & cast Bias applicable for Growth, "Buketing" is key to sucseed over competition

Advice to Senior ManagementStat acting on exit interview points & abolish the Indian Career Politics at Esteemed Toyota Company

If you are lucky you get a growth you deserve for your efforts .

    Deputy Manager (Current Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

ProsSystems are in place , only auto sector in Bangalore, good brand tag...

Consgrowth is gradual even for exception performers, and job rotations are very very rare and option of inter divisional changeovers are like impossible.

    Advice to Senior Management....

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
