    I worked at Toyota

    Pros

The people that work for Toyota were all very friendly and helpful. I never had a problem working with anyone. This he;p[ed to provide an atmosphere that was easy to work in and be productive.

    Cons

It seemed like i went to a lot of meeting where information was repeated and time was wasted.
Too much time was spend on trying to get to the root cause of small problem, when a simple solution could have fixed the problem in a lot less time.

I worked at Toyota full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Toyota offers good pay and benefits (varies between divisions). 13 paid holiday a year, start out accruing a little over 6 hours of vacation per month, 5 paid sick days and 3 paid personal day per year. Good medical/dental/vision.

    Cons

There are a lot of politics one must deal with working with this company. Poor communication between corporate and facility, between management and supervision, and between supervision and hourly associates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    They won't take it, lol.

I have been working at Toyota as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Great opportunity to develop real life engineering skills and be given design product and teams to lead. Allowed opportunity to learn as a follower as well as gain experience as a leader

    Cons

Experience is largely dependent on department that you are assigned to. Would have loved to have more projects and gain more experience in other departments

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow Co-Op to work with other Co-Op Engineers, as well as schedule meetings with them at work as well as away with the workplace. Felt isolated and not part of the team for first couple months. Introductions would have been ideal.

Union workers are tough to get rid of, causing the plant to shut down, ruining it for everyone.

    I worked at Toyota part-time

    Pros

Company where individuals are treated with grace and respect. Even though there are a alot of challenges to solve in a fast paced environment. All in all a good place to work.

    Cons

Talent sometimes get pushed to the backburner over who has been there longer. You can work too many hours. It can get hectic sometimes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Actual listen to and promote talent within your company.

    Pros

    Opportunity to learn
    Autonomy
    Excellent pay
Can elect to take any available training.

    Cons

    Minimum 5 hours OT/wk
    75% saturday work

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to bring greater job security for our temporary employees. The contract with Aerotek/Kelly Services often means we pay more money for temp workers than full time.

I worked at Toyota full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I enjoy being around cars, so working at a car dealership felt natural for me. If you enjoy being around cars, then working for Toyota is a great place to be.

    Cons

As a car detailer, I was at the bottom of the totem pole, so I had to take orders from everyone, and it's difficult to satisfy everyone's desires, but that is to be expected in any lower position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just so long as things are moving forward, there's no reason to try to change anything.
