    I worked at Toyota full-time

    Pros

Great atmosphere and your coworkers are pretty great for the most part. If you're an independent worker you'll succeed here as long as you follow guidelines on what you're supposed to do throughout the day. Bosses are extremely nice and you never feel like you're being watched at all times.

    Cons

Can get boring at times and I wish there was room for improvement.

    Cons

I believe pay could be more evenly divided since the team makes the dream in this type of business! Overall great company to work for! Customers love their Toyotas and their staff :) !

    Advice to Management

I would recommended monthly meeting with individual employees to speak on anything that comes to the employee's mind, in regard's to achieving success through all aspects in the dealership!

I have been working at Toyota full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are excellent as well as the company paid money purchase plan. The 401K system is a 2/3 match up to 4%. I.E. contribute 6% and they will add 4%.

    Cons

Training and the promotion process are completely broken in TX. Hourly employees get very little access to training due to the demand to be on the floor. Salaried employees don't have it much better.

    Advice to Management

Forcing your employees to work 1.7 hours of overtime everyday to build outdated trucks simply doesn't make sense. Your employees are treated much better in KY and they build quality cars that people truly enjoy.

I worked at Toyota as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great work opportunities, great people to work with in the DC office, and great location of the office over Metro Center. The Toyota Way really values worker input no matter at what level you are at in the company. Got an opportunity to meet the CEO, which was awesome.

    Cons

A few people can be found abrasive to the rest of the office culture, but it wasn't too bad to deal with, and at the end of the day, wasn't a big deal. At times, I heard of difficulties working with counterparts located in Japan, but my work did not interface with them.

    Advice to Management

Keep promoting from within, and keep on your path towards promoting a strong and tight knit office culture across divisions. I found it to be very good.
