    Pros

    Opportunity to learn
    Autonomy
    Excellent pay
Can elect to take any available training.

    Cons

    Minimum 5 hours OT/wk
    75% saturday work

    Advice to Management

Try to bring greater job security for our temporary employees. The contract with Aerotek/Kelly Services often means we pay more money for temp workers than full time.

  2. great place to work

    Pros

Company where individuals are treated with grace and respect. Even though there are a alot of challenges to solve in a fast paced environment. All in all a good place to work.

    Cons

Talent sometimes get pushed to the backburner over who has been there longer. You can work too many hours. It can get hectic sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Actual listen to and promote talent within your company.

    Pros

I enjoy being around cars, so working at a car dealership felt natural for me. If you enjoy being around cars, then working for Toyota is a great place to be.

    Cons

As a car detailer, I was at the bottom of the totem pole, so I had to take orders from everyone, and it's difficult to satisfy everyone's desires, but that is to be expected in any lower position.

    Advice to Management

Just so long as things are moving forward, there's no reason to try to change anything.

    Pros

Easy culture, mostly 9-5, rewarding most of the time working with fun engaging people on projects, benefits are nice, get to drive a new car every year if you want, strong company values, always had strong managers who help meet your needs, not too cutthroat, rotations available if you seek them out. Exciting to work for strong automaker and national brand.

    Cons

Big company disease is apparent, like anywhere else. Unnecessary processes and bureaucracy. Move to Texas I think will lose large portion of good talent. Not quick to be promoted and at certain point you have to give up some values to move high up. Wish more low performers were performance managed, surveys taken every year to improve, but same things come up, not safe to speak up, risk taking not encouraged.

    Advice to Management

Speak the truth not always the PR line. Let people work on extra curricular projects like Google, Intel. Reward risk taking.

    Pros

The English speaking Team Members (for the most part) are easy to work with. They are very patient and understand that some of the some technical issues take time to resolve.

    Cons

As a contractor, I am basically ignored by all levels of management. This is no exaggeration. I mean I am literally ignored. I have made an effort to bust my butt every day and be outgoing but it doesn't matter at all. Even if I play "the game" bu going to various company functions (lunches, potlucks, etc), I am still ignored. Not even so much as a "hello, how are you today?" or a "thanks for your help on xyz project." Plus, the managers cherry-pick people for jobs. So if your contract house doesn't tell you about a new position, you will not hear about it until after it has been filled. And that's if the contract house was even told about the job!

    Advice to Management

Transition contractors to Team Members after 6 months or a year. Otherwise, the turn over will remain at its very high levels. Stop with the "s/he wasn't a good fit." No, you need to pay attention to contractors if you want them to stay. It is that simply. Ignore your employees and they will leave.
