I have been working at Toyota of Plano full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Some of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of working with were from Toyota of Plano. Regardless of your position, this is definitely a job where interacting with others is high. Like any job, not all people are good, but for the most part there are solid people with good hearts and head on their shoulders.
Cons – One downside is the constant change of management. While there for a few years, we went through three General Manager changes and constant micro-management from the "silent" owners. This made this highly unpredictable as you are constantly trying to validate yourself to the new management and policies. Also, the micro-management constantly looked at ways to make themselves more profitable, including pay cuts for most employees.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't mess with peoples salaries to try and fix the "bottom line".

I have been working at Toyota of Plano
Pros – they have the best pay plan as far as I know of in the metroplex. they also have an ok scheduling system that doesn't require you to work bell to bell. the managers are nice and take care of the guys and gals who sell alot of cars.
Cons – this is a job that requires alot of time, so if you are married and have kids then it might not be the kind of work you are looking for. also, there is a high amount of pressure involved in this business, and there is a tendency to not have alot of trust involved between coworkers. the main downside is that the pay is all commission, and so there are ups and downs in the pay and if you don't sell well, then you will not have anything to fall back on except minimum wage(and then you may not have a job after that). this i would not consider a downside of this dealership, but a downside of the car business in general
Advice to Senior Management – don't be so stuck on the "old ways." this business is changing fast, and now if you guys want to keep being competitive, you have to listen to the young bucks a little bit.
