Former Employee - Human Resources Supervisor in Dunwoody, GA

    Pros

    There was an Employee Discount

    Cons

No one was trained, there was no time alloted for training, the store manager did not work...he told the customers that we no longer sold products even tnough the shelves were fully stocked.
I signed up to be a Human Resources Supervisor however I was a sales associate overall.
The turnover rate was so high that there were ads posted online every 30 days for your position no matter how well you performed.
Performing well included pushing the rewards card and company credit card.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is no fun in selling toys for your company if you dont have proper training on the job itself.

    Pros

Easy to get hired if you need a job.

    Cons

Except for the holiday season, hours are limited and inconsistent. Customers can be difficult as a result of long lines, crowded stores, and sold out merchandise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Realize that you get what you pay for.

Current Employee - Assistant Store Manager in Atlanta, GA

    Pros

    Competitive Pay
Opportunities for advancement - Promotions based on performance
Vacation/Paid Time off - You will start with 2 weeks vacation and 10 days personal time (total of 4 weeks)

Alot better than another retailer that I've worked for. I don't feel like overpaid labor. Although retail will be retail and it has its cons (crazy customers, black friday, wishy washy payroll) they have a great culture.

    Cons

    9.5 Hr Work days
6 day work weeks in season (however, you are given 3 additional personal days to compensate)
    Micro-managed
Retail Environment - It's not for everybody
Training - It is structured and placed in a training store however there is not follow up from DM or Regional partners

    Pros

    always hiring

    Cons

    lots of theft
    young, incompetent workers
too many customers and not enough employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have respect for your workers. Most are college kids and they do have lives and dreams outside of cashiering. The work is too strainious on peoples feet- have a heart.
