Pros
You at least get a pay check
They keep you up to date with changes going on
Cons
Say the pay is 8.10, but you work for only a couple hours a week
Work is absolutely hardcore at a tiring time for a barely anything paycheck
Peers causes messes and run control while superiors hardly do anything
You can get fired or chewed out for getting sick and needed a day off for any reason
Work flow is mildly inconvenient and could be done in a quicker fashion.
Advice to Senior Management
Give more hours to your workers so they can see that all the work they do isn't for a paycheck that is still minimum wage.
Pros
Easy work, if you work overnight. Flexible hours. Good place to work if you're in high school.
Cons
It's a joke. The worse workers get more respect than the real workers. They seem to pay very little attention to who's working and who's not. Average workers who walk around with their pants below their butt and their boxers showing, manage to be kept, while people who actually dress presentable and put in hard work are thrown away unless they are buddies with the management.
I've worked in 2 other retail stores that are actually bigger than Toy R Us and this is by far the worse one. Usually the smaller the store, the better the treatment, but not in this case. It's the only employer that expects workers to know how to work equipment without any training and do jobs that they've never been trained to do. Toys R Us and training don't even belong in the same sentence. Don't even get me started on the lack of break policy. They are picky about who gets a break and who doesn't. Some people have worked all 8 hours without a break and filing a complaint to corporate won't help. The whole entire company is garbage. Wish they would fall off already. They don't deserve the success.
I didn't work there long enough to know earn a raise, but the ones who have still haven't got one. They treat everyone as an expendable. If you're over 18 don't invest anytime at Toys R Us. It's a joke.
Advice to Senior Management
Drop dead.
Pros
The hours is very flexible with the associates but little hours in off season.
Cons
If you are not with them, you are against them. The District managers will always stick up for each other including the Store Manager. They run a dirty district, they will make you feel stress out all the time if they wanted to get rid of you. They have done it to more than one Assistant Manager and associate.
Advice to Senior Management
There are some good managers and they are really bad ones. The bad ones are alway the one who are in the circle of the Store Manager. It's not just one store it almost all of them. The Store Manager will curse at you, lied to you, but will always get away with it.

Advice to Senior Management
Overall, the job is not hard. Management tends to be a little short sighted when it comes to operations, but I have no complaints. Don't expect a decent raise, though.
Pros
10% employee discount.
No Waiting on line for Holiday Sales.
1st dibs on the hot new toys.
Very Flexable Hours and Days Off.
Friendly Employees.
Cons
No matter what time your schedule says you will be leaving they force you to stay and "reshop" the store to put away the toys. I was stuck there until 3am one night even though i was only scheduled until 12am and had to go to my real job at 8am. The next day went back to TRU and again was told it was mandatory that I stayed late because there was alot to reshop and we were not allowed to leave until it was done which took until 6am! Also I was not allowed to take a dinner break or a 15 min break during the 6 extra hours I was stuck there. (I didn't take one before the mandatory staying)
Advice to Senior Management
Have the overnight crews that knows where EVERY item in the stores go reshop because they are a lot faster then cashiers that have no idea of where things keep getting moved to. Also you should ask the employees if they are able to stay late and inform them it might be until 3am or later. You can not hold people there for hours and hours extra without them agreeing to stay.
Hire more night crew for them to do the reshopping that way the cashiers that have dealt with fighting parents and screaming children all day can go home.
