HR was cold blooded, transportation needed more experiance dealing with the trucking part.need to keep past drivers in mind to rehire especially if they had good records and were reliable
Pros
Great enviroment to work with many great people. Competitive company who pushes to be their best. Stability and longevity are a positive.
Cons
Full time salary manager hours are 50+. Full time non-salary manager hours are 32-40. Again, great place to work but lots of hours.
Advice to Senior Management
It's a toy company, not the military. Lets find a common ground between success and quality of life in the work place and at home.
Pros
The job responsibilities were many: hiring, terminating and interviewing employees. Maintaining all employee records and staff training. Lots of learning and growth potential for a career in Human Resources.
Cons
The compensation/pay did not always meet job requirements. There needs to be more job growth potential in the store for the HRDS position.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire competent AM who are passionate and not just complacent. The Assistant managers were often the hardest people to work with.
Pros
Peope you work with, icolorful environment, fun items to sell, cute kids

Standng for really long tedious hours, wewird jobs like vaccuuming vestibules and carpets, they train you for a department and never assign you to work their.
.. Low chance for employment growth, terribleq customers
Advice to Senior Management
Ty to know all the aspects in your job instead of making unqualified team members do what YOU are supposed to be doing
Pros
Work with kids, learn the basics of a companies inner workings, and become well oriented in customer service. Also learn to deal with unruly customers depending on the location.

Cons
management in our store was not at all professional, lots of power trips from some as well.

Advice to Senior Management
Appreciate the associates more!
Pros
Fun environment to work around. Plenty of new faces everyday such as celebrities like Andre Johnson for the Houston Texans.
Cons
The only downside about any retail store is working holidays which means tons of people with tons of attitudes which leads to massive stress.
Pros
"OK" pay
Fun people to work with; managers really get to become friendly with everyone.
Work with you on days off
Cons
Scheduling can be a total mess.
Holiday season is terrifying--even for someone who has worked at a store during holiday season before.
Customers are very quick to become cranky and will always blame the first person they see.
Advice to Senior Management
Give your stores more leeway--our management would have definitely jumped at the chance to accommodate us and make us feel more comfortable if they had the monetary means to do so.
