I have been working at Tractor Supply full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Tractor Supply is not your ordinary employer. They like to hire their customers who are living the life style. Do not expect to stand around when you apply for a position with this company. We work hard for our money. You get what you give in this company.

    Cons

Lower management positions are not paid as much as they should be paid... But the jobs are still rewarding regardless. I never go home regretting my decision to work at Tractor Supply.

    Pros

Mission and values are very important to the culture of this company. It is very evident in the teams.

    Cons

As a manager, the low payroll plan and very limited availability to staff the stores adequately is a concern.

    Advice to Management

I would like to see the payroll plans restructured to reflect proper staffing. Budget hours in the store, as opposed to payroll dollars.

I have been working at Tractor Supply full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to work with the opportunity to advance. You need to work very hard but I don't know of many stores that have a monthly bonus program when you make sales.

    Cons

Hard work is a must- you will need to work weekends and nights sometimes but that is retail.

    Advice to Management

Great support if you want to advance

I have been working at Tractor Supply full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You'll always get at least 40 hours (and maybe some overtime), starting pays $14.50, management is cool as long as you work, Your at work for a straight up 8 hours, no more no less, you don't clock out for breaks. People are always quitting so, you don't have to stress out about getting fired (they need the bodies). The job is not that hard

    Cons

Only (2) 20 minute breaks (which you don't clock out for) and can't leave the warehouse parking lot during break, some heavy lifting but not to bad, lots of 6 and 7 day work weeks (that's good if you like overtime), For overtime you can't come in early or stay late, you'll just work an extra day or two. They mainly hire for overnight 3rd shift (not always, but for the most part), you can switch to days.

    Advice to Management

I think Management is doing a good job

    Pros

Love the work, fellow employees, and customers.

    Cons

It's a lot of work and payroll is a constant battle. Therefore, there is a lot of work for a few people and the pay isn't always worth it.
