Pros
Great place for a career; pace, culture, ethics are a plus. Live by the mission and values that they preach.
Cons
It really is a nice company to work for, but the pay is lower than most unless you are in a position to make a lot of bonus money.
Pros
freindly people ,,and all around great place to work great hours and the manger works with any problems that might come around....
Cons
well they could be alittle more understanding when a lose of a loved one is involved. they could give more time for you to grief over your lose. and be more compationate for you i know thats not all the time possible but it would be helpful....
Advice to Senior Management
tried to be more understanding of the team members when they work all the hours you ask them to and then their in a tuff spot between the lose of a loved one and thier job.give alittle more lead way and help them out like they helped you out when you did'nt have anyone to fill the hours....
Pros
Job security
Learn alot about farming
Cons
-Poor Pay
-Lack of information sharing
-Poor retail management
-Safety issues
-Inefficient Technology
-Inept customers
Advice to Senior Management
Upgrade the technology side, have managers share information, correct serious safety issues
Pros
Fairly simple job, nice people, decent environment for the most part.
Cons
TSC appears to do nothing to punish higher level employees (i.e managers). They seem to not care about their "lower" employees well-being and/or feelings. Always having to cut hours to the bone but insist on hiring more people.
Advice to Senior Management
When multiple complaints are made about someone in management, do something. Employees that are disrespected in front of customers and called inappropriate names should be punished. Whether it be sensitivity training, suspension, or even termination, something should be done. It appears most of the time that the higher ups do not care what happens to the workers as long as they make a profit, yet they say "TSC cares". I do not feel this whatsoever. If you cared you wouldn't let things like this continue. A manager talking down to a team member like a child only makes the team member less productive and loathe the company and their job.
Pros
Growth company. Financially fit. I like its Mission and Values.
Cons
Heavy workload. "Balance" is difficult.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your employees. Give them a good work/life balance. Company is a little stingy with salaries. Celebrate success at all levels.
Pros
Animals, good overall company, good customers
Cons
hours are long and you feel over worked. Pay is low.
Pros
-Flexible Schedule
-Stock Purchase Plan
-Some people get promoted quickly
-Possible quick promotions
Cons
-Long hours
-Not paid well
-District Manager/Corporate will side with manager over employees no matter the circumstance, until it's too late
Advice to Senior Management
If there are concerns from employees, listen to them! Promotions are given to some employees quickly while other employees receive no recognition for a job well done.
Pros
Love the customers they are wonderful people. management is another story.
Cons
Low pay...no breaks....(30 minutes max)... and begging to go to the restroom is embarrasing and cruel.
Advice to Senior Management
Customer service is aweful at my store. I am so ashamed of some of the staff that I want to crawl in a hole. Where is the respect for the customer who really writes your check and keeps you in business? Pay your employee's a decent wage and maybe they won't take out all their anger on the customers.
Pros
Growing, successful company. Financially solid.
Cons
A little frugal in pay and perks.
Advice to Senior Management
Remember the work of the workforce. A little too much emphasis in rewarding executives.
Pros
Tractor supply goes above and beyond for the associates who meet fmla standards TOT time otra the company offers extra time and 100% pay to associates with workers comp claims
Cons
Company is lacking the technology to perform at an acceptable standard all the systems are out dated and limited access on some terminals prohibits customer service
Advice to Senior Management
Broden your out look don't limit yourself by limiting your technology you should be a step ahead not ten behind
