Pros – Very laid back atmosphere, fun team-building activities and office parties, they are laid back about "clocking in", in that they don't make you, you just get paid for 40 hrs every week that you're there for the full day every day. Decent sick/vacation pay. Some fun young employees and cool older ones too.
Cons – Some of the managers are kind of jerks (while some are great, it's a real crap shoot). Low pay and Almost NO raises. Don't expect any positive feedback for a job well done. Not much transparency from management.
Advice to Senior Management – Please communicate better with your employees. If you are satisfied with their work performance, I mean satisfied enough to keep them on and give them more and more responsibilities, please LET THEM KNOW. Make sure and give them feedback on the GOOD things they're doing, as well as the bad. Open communication, and letting them know they're all appreciated will really make it a much nicer place to work, for everyone!

Pros – TradeOne starts you out with 18 days of PTO. This is sick and vacation all rolled into one. They also offer 8-10 Holidays, and the ones that fall on weekends, they give days of observance. It is very hard to get fired. You can do just about anything under the moon, and still have your job. You have to have something like 4 write ups in 6 months and then you are put on probation. Once you're on probation, you start a 6 month period and all previous issues are then cleared. Depending on whom your Assistant Account Manager is or Account Manager for some clients, your job can be veryyyyyyyyyyy relaxed, for the same pay as someone else who works very hard getting things done efficiently and effectively. They do have career advancement in place, unfortunately they start you out so low (10.75 w/o college and 12.25 with) that even with 3 promotions you're barely at 30,000. I will say for someone who didn't go to college, this is a pretty nice gig. After 3 promotions you have to wait for "new clients" to get promoted and ya never know if or when that will happen. The company does have pretty awesome parties 3 or so times a year (with alcohol) where you can essentially get drunk on the job. Also, everyone is pretty young which makes for a good work environment (unless it unravels into drama, which TradeOne is notorious for).
Cons – The company tries to have training and development called the "TradeOne University" in place - which makes you feel like punching yourself in the face (if you have half a brain). No 401k with Matching (they do offer 401k though) and the benefits are pretty horrible. Out of each paycheck they take 35 for healthcare and then 15 for dental (this is the old amount, it just went up) and of course, you can choose to opt out. Basically the worst part of working for TradeOne, is that you are taken advantage of. You are talked down to, like you're stupid, yet you're expected to back up the engineers and analysts that get paid 3 to 5 times more than you do. If you're a hard worker, management does notice, but really they can do little for you (that is up to the executives who believe that once you finally get fed up and quit *because you have been looking the entire time you have been employed and have a WAYYYY better job lined up* that they can just hire someone else), that person will then last 6 months - and the cyle WILL continue.
Basically - if you want a "career" that is rewarding - this will not be for you. If you want a paycheck that can help you get by this job will do the trick.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't pay your employees comparable to what sign flippers on the side of the highway make. Give your lower-level employees the same respect you give your "engineers" and "analysts" - because not only do we back them and everything THEY do up (like when their applications fail and we have to check EVERYDAY to see if everything is working correctly and then resolve all the errors it caused), but we are the face or better yet, the voice of your company. We are not expendable, and if you invested in us you wouldn't have a GINORMOUS turnover rate (almost 45% new employees every 6 months). Also, try cross training your employees on different accounts and utilize their abilities. Instead of hiring new employees for different accounts, use the ones that have dead time, pay them more, and ultimately save money. Everyone Wins! Business OPS 101.

Pros – You learn a lot and can take this experience and ask for more money anywhere. Free soda, juice and coffee. Media room with a nice flat screen TV, which no one in ops gets to benefit from unless you are hourly and on lunch. Flat screen monitors for those who have been there a while.
Cons – Benefits:
Sub-par benefits (their cheapest plan is 80/20 and very expensive, say they will work with your school schedule (and later tell you they won't), say they are "family oriented" (for salaried folks, this means bring your kid to work and ignore them to get work done). Being salaried is not really a benefit, no flexible schedule, and you will also be asked to use PTO for working less than 8 hours in a day, even if you worked over 40 hours in a week - salaried or not, whether you meet quotas or not.
Pay: Starting pay for hourly = 11.50 / 12.50 p/h depending on whether you have a degree (LOL, you can make more at telemarketing - it's easier) to literally do what should be at least $30k starting. For non hourly - Be as greedy as you can and ASK for all you can upon being hired because you will likely never get a raise after. If you are lucky, after a year and a half if you are not in management, you may get a fifty cent raise with a new title.
Environment: There is very high turnover, so there is constant lack of know how on a non management level, constantly training peers while needing to get your own job done and low morale with high stress. I recently saw they remodeled so it doesn't look as depressing as it used to. Their technology is horrible, they show nice sites to their clients and make their employees work on a horrible buggy interface in conjunction with a green screen that is the buggiest I have ever seen. What should take 5 minutes, takes 20 - they know about these bugs but don't care to fix it especially because IT gets over extended for client jobs. Teams are constantly understaffed, which makes for unattainable goals and quotas.
One director protects his staff and discourages inter office communication with them, and allows his staff to leave early without using PTO, allows them tons of looong smoke breaks, and takes them out for paid lunch and drinks, often. All good programmers leave within a year or two - the work and demands are TAXING and they have bad checks and balances for Q/A.
Executives work employees into the ground, provide unattainable goals, and do lots of unethical and immoral things, (such as letting you work for a whole month, after they've made up their mind to fire you) so long as it is "legal". If you are placed on a performance warning - it is not because they want you to improve, immediately look for other work because you WILL be fired, if not, it's because they couldn't legally do it. They won't allow you to do your job without making it harder or getting in the way. However, they are not afraid to spar with other departments to get things done. Other executives are blind and don't see employees playing solitaire and surfing the web all day and promotes those who don't deserve it. This is highly un motivating to those who are on a hard working team.
There are some higher ups there who are so obsessed with intellect to the point of detriment. The company sells and promises everything under the sun to clients, including vapor ware (while claiming they already have it in place). This over extends their IT department and requires a lot of dodging/lying on operations part. This company is great at statistics and providing technical facades, but is bad at listening to their inner good and intuition.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't lie or sell the world to to your clients unless you can produce as promised, this makes it hard on everyone.. Entertain the idea that when your employees complain, they are really asking for help, and may actually be telling the truth. Get to the root of the problem rather than trying to squash those who point out the symptoms. Give your employees the bandwith, encouragement, and motivation to improve your processes, they will do it for you so long as you allow it and give them time and don't micro manage every step of the way.

Cons – Minimal advancement. Few opportunities to learn new software/skills
