I have been working at Tradebe Treatment and Recycling full-time for less than a year

    Pros

People stick around, there are plently of people who have been with the company 15-25 years now. It is a small office, go out after work, free coffee. Lunch has been purchased for the office more than once by upper management.

    Cons

Pay could be a little better, and room for growth could be better.

I have been working at Tradebe Treatment and Recycling full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Dedication of employees, able to put up with poor working conditions and bad management, industry has lots of potential.

    Cons

Old boy network at East Chicago still runs the show. Senior management hires good people but then won't let them do anything. Serious micromanagement in most areas.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You preach change but don't have the guts to follow through. So many opportunities wasted. Time to get serious.

    Pros

Lots of overtime and a two hundred dollar bonus each month.

    Cons

The worst equipment imagineable,no raises even after two years and the word RESPECT doesnt mean anything towards management as far as drivers go.

  5.

Horrible company with execs constantly blaming workers for their failures and going around their own people.

I worked at Tradebe Treatment and Recycling full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The title and money - little did I know that execs were totally controlling

    Cons

everything - execs were always going behind their VPs and Directors, then surprised things weren't working out. Revolving door of controllers (4 in 3 years), IT staff (5 in 2 years), Safety directors (3 in 2 years) and other staff. 25% turnover in a bad economy shows total failure of management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid ot execs and/or sell the company to someone who knows the industry and how to manage.

I have been working at Tradebe Treatment and Recycling full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    It is a consistent paycheck.

    Cons

It is a terrible place if you want to have anyone communicate to you or feel like you're part of a team. Upper management is extremely cloak and dagger. They don't value their employees or their customers. Upper managment only cares about margin dollars. They want to cherry pick the accounts that they want and don't care about others unless they are >50% margins. Expense checks take several months to get back and your credit card is maxed out before you have the opportunity to pay it back.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management needs to step to the side and let people that get the industry take the lead. It is going to be a long road (possibly even a sinking ship) ahead of you if not.

I have been working at Tradebe Treatment and Recycling full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It's a small manufacturing company but an ideal place for a young engineer to gain work experience. You have a huge work load from day one and the days fly by because you're always busy. Bosses are very approachable. You are trained to make manegerial decisions and individuals within the company will help you attain chartership.

    Cons

Pay is not that fantastic but you gain experience from working here. Sometimes you need to understand that money cant buy experience.
