No direction, political and lust based environment

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsCEO has family money, provides stability
    Texas economy is booming

    ConsNew projects are not leasable
Divested best core assets, now fee managing
Hiring and promoting decisions are made based on non-performance metrics, questionable HR practices
Open office plan unpleasant, tight, and only creates fabricated "sharing"
Big brother always watching, employees secretive, snapchat and secret liaisons by executives are standard
Highly political environment where executive committee members constantly sabotage or undermine each other and others to gain favor

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Quick stepping stone and then move on!

    Vice President (Former Employee)
    Fort Worth, TX

ProsGood opportunities, CEO favors young people, especially women
    Pay can be competitive
    Generous profit sharing
    New offices

    ConsHigh turnover
Fort Worth is an industry backwater
Company reputation and practices only allows them to retain the "B" team
A lot of idle hands that are energy drains
Schizophrenic "leadership" in a highly political organization
    Say one thing, do another
Think one thing, actually are another
Titles and accolades given out like medals to a Russian General

Advice to Senior ManagementBad culture cannot be fixed with poor moral underpinnings

Nice place to work, challenges as anywhere!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Fort Worth, TX

ProsEntrepreneurial Environment, seek any and all opportunities, think outside the box
Great And Growing Portfolio, diverse asset types
Talented Employees, with various backgrounds and personalities - no "group think"
Well-Meaning Leadership, continued expression of desire to change

ConsDisagreement between senior executives makes direction challenging
Lack of communication as a cultural norm but not in all departments
Employee turnover is significant, saps morale
Lack of discipline in processes and decision making
Frequent contradiction or reversal from what is said

Advice to Senior ManagementWe know what the challenges are, let's keep working to get there and measure the efficacy of initiatives. Also, make sure we are what we say and playing from the same play book (we're not, but say we are).

Company has great vision, but is blind to talent and skills of employees

    General Manager (Current Employee)
    Dallas, TX

ProsGreat vision for the development and creation of place making, The Founding Partner is an artist rather than a developer of commercial retail. His attention to scale, mass and color, as well as to the amenties within the common areas is a great skill. His dedication to public art and the overall shopping experience is a testament to adding value to the development of retail shopping centers.

ConsFounding partner claims to be an expert on everything. His obsession with details makes it difficult to make any property level decisions, He has a tendency to micro-manage all aspect of the operation of the property without regard to the talent of the on-site management staff.

Advice to Senior ManagementAllow people to perform the jobs they were hired to perform

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
