    Pros

Co workers are nice. Some Management is nice and peaceful to work with. Usually flexible with hours during off season. At times is easy to talk to Home Office. the company has a small company feel to it although they currently have 90 + stores all throughout the US. The company is growing. Anyone can move up because there are no trainings and no hiring policies implemented.

    Cons

The owner is not willing to listen to new and exciting ideas. Management (Home Office) needs to be managed. Everyone at HO is doing their own thing and not really communicating with lower level management. If you don't like retail don't work here, hours are long and Christmas season isn't the best. There is no training procedure implemented, kinda just throw you out there. They do have 401K however they don't give any other benefits, you have to pay for your benefits if you want dental or medical. Inventory procedures are outdated.

    Advice to Management

have communication with one another before trying to implement new directives. Also the owner needs to listen to his employees more. The Owner demands a lot from his team but he doesn't give back. They need to remodel stores, regroup and reorganize in order to do better in the coming years.

    Pros

Discount, opportunity to advance in company

    Cons

Store managers don't work, the whole company is about favoritism, they are not lenient when it comes to emergencies or breaks.

    Advice to Management

District managers, Please just be mindful of all employees.

    Pros

Absolutely none, it is the pit of retail hell.

    Cons

I was working "full time" as a key holder while in school. Low pay, unreasonable hours, no concern for life outside of the store. When i had a death in the family, they wouldn't give me time off and told me "they would have wanted you to work and move on with your life." When I wanted to go away for a WEEKEND, I had to provide "proof" of where I was going, ABSURD!

    Advice to Management

    Give up.

    Pros

since the company is still growing and progressing, there is room for growth. There are new stores opening all the time so new positions open up. Also, the schedule is good, there are rules to follow but it is flexible leaving time for school and kids and the company isn't black and white, they understand when there are emergencies, personal issues, etc. there are health benefits and you can include your family to them. the people are fun and understanding and everyone always keeps an open mind to any ideas.

    Cons

the only challenges i can see from working here is that the customers might not always be the nicest and they might have a lot to say. Also, when you get hired there is a lot of paperwork but that's not a big deal because it's worth it.

    Advice to Management

keep up the good work, the company is still moving ahead so just make sure the steps are always forward and never back. There is a lot of potential in this company

    Pros

Its fun and easy. I love the fact that I can help people find shoes to go with certain outfits. It makes me happy and also I love shoe. Plus they got great prices.

    Cons

Lots of cons. Who ever is in charge(manager) basically gets away with everything no matter how many times they open late, or do anything wrong. When it comes to anyone who is not a main manager, everything goes on them. Its very discrimated towards females and makes you feel not welcomed at all. I love my job but dislike some people who are associated with the company.

    Advice to Management

Actually hire people who care the job, not ones there just cause " they have worked there a while and think they know what they are doing" and also pick people who are not friends. Co-works should not go out with other coworker..it tends to lead to picking sides in whos wrong and whos right. Be friends of course you go for your "friend'

    Pros

Promotions are easy, discounts, nice merchandise for cheap, flexible work schedule

    Cons

Too much work for what some in my position should be making in retail. There are new policies all the time. Higher up and management are never on the same page.

    Advice to Management

Reform payroll, organize the different deptmartments at the home office to lessen the workload the people at the store level have to do.
