Pros

Provided a good work/life balance. Provided free investment training. Free parking and coffee. Hands-off management style. When a budget increase was needed to complete a project, it was always approved.

Cons

If you did not attend the Monday morning prayer meetings, you were socially ostracized. There was no direction from management on the direction to take projects. Everything was left at the employee's discretion, which usually meant it was being done to improper specifications. Had to wear suit and tie.

Advice to Senior Management

Yearly performance reviews would go a long way to keep employees feeling like their work is going noticed. Weekly or monthly updates on any issues, problems, concerns, or other feedback would help keep people engaged.
