Pros
Staff is great.
Friendly environment
Great benefits
Cons
No opportunity for growth
Mediocre pay
Advice to Senior Management
Get competitive pay scale, staff reviews should include advancement goals
Pros
There are some executive level benefits that compare very favorably to some executive level benefits provided by "competitive" United States based companies.
Cons
This company's executive and senior leadership model is a "matrix" model. Yet the operations are "vertically intergrated". It is very similar to a "franchise" model. This company does not do a sufficient job of intergrating the two models.
Advice to Senior Management
Concentrate on making sure the individual "franchises" are suprted and encouraged, but are obligated to utilize the "matrix" style executive and senior leadership model.
Pros
Great pay, people were nice for most part, alot of perks, great work life balance, great location in the city
Cons
Hardley no rom for growth unless you was the best friend or son of upper management , upper management never was in the office
Advice to Senior Management
Promote fair promotions throught company, discourage hiring family members in the same office , Promote leadership, regular meetings and evaluations and feedback
Pros
entrepreneurial opportunities within a large corporation
Cons
reluctance from other brokerage companies to invest time in relationship with TCC
Pros
At the time, the people.
Cons
Too big, couldn't express opinion.
Advice to Senior Management
No longer exists.
Pros
Upper management was always supportive and provided opportunity for growth. Ability to work a flexible schedule as long as all necessary work was completed. Bonus potential is great.
Cons
The health benefits are not the best I have seen but then again, not the worst. Not to many cons to speak of.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing what you are doing. It works and works well. Also, find some new business so I can get my old job back!
Pros
Good salary and benefits, relaxed atmosphere, not micro-managed
Cons
Cyclical industry, high chance of layoffs in down years
Advice to Senior Management
Maintain conservative underwriting at all times
Pros
Access to deep talent pool, great name, information sharing with CBRE employees, energetic and fun employees, good work life balance
Cons
Can get lost in a big company, must be with a good team to excel, must have the right personality fit with your team or it won't last
Advice to Senior Management
There are some huge egos - need to get rid of some of the top earners who aren't producing. more training and information sharing across business units would be helpful.
Pros
Good facilities mgmt co AND has strong base in US
Cons
Not fairly paid and promotions not on merit basis.
Advice to Senior Management
This co no more exists, take over by CBRE
Pros
Great resume builder, network of former TCC workers is strong, good management, entrepreneurial environment
Cons
TCC recently was bought by CBRE so many of the talented leaders have now left the company. Trammell Crow is no longer considered to be as premier as it used to be now that it is owned by CBRE
Advice to Senior Management
Better recruiting process. Lack of good process for MBA's and college recruiting. The process seemed to be very disorganized and no one seemed to take ownership of mistakes when they occurred during the recruiting process.
