    Pros

Grab 'n' Go Market, free gym, most management has been with the company for extensive periods of time, always something to learn.

    Cons

Salaries are not too competitive, departments are very segregated making teamwork difficult at times, communication is poor, hiring freezes are often in affect.

    Advice to Management

Improve communication, bridge the gap between IT and business units to better improve projects, ensure that all in house systems work as designed.

    Pros

Not much I can say positive about this company. They are privately held and they make a ton of money but the employees don't see too much of it.

    Cons

Some people can make money at this company but they go through people as if it's a temp agency. It's like being a part of a frat house and the only way to make money is if your on the managers good side. They dictate the accounts you can call on and if you're not a part of the good old boys network you won't make a dime or hit your numbers. The top accounts are divided up for all of the "in crowd". If you're not in it good luck getting there. They lock their clients into 3 year contracts and if you don't know anything about merchant processing you will be paying astronomical fees.

    Advice to Management

Pay your people decent wages. Get rid of the good ole boy network. Take a look at what your managers are doing and a bonus doesn't constitute and ice cream party in the office. The only time you will here from the CEO is when he shows off the employees kids artwork.

    Pros

Close to home, decent money for what I do, I'm here long enough that's it's relatively easy.

    Cons

Has to be the worst job I ever had. But with years into it, I find it difficult to walk away.

    Advice to Management

Let people make mistakes. Do not threaten people's jobs because of manager's insecurities. Not EVERYONE can be a manager! You need workers.

    Pros

Working with Banks & Bankers is the only way to go in the merchant services industry.

    Cons

I had 2 great Managers and they got promoted. We were put on a team with a manager based in Florida. This manager constantly lied to everyone on his team and was always getting caught in his lies. Upper management and Human Resources knew about it and did not care.

    Advice to Management

Do the right thing & tell the truth, not some watered down version with partial truths and you will not have to have an entire department that does nothing but scour the internet and other media sources reacting to all the complaints.

    Pros

I cannot think of anything positive about this company.

    Cons

Unreasonable sales quotas, management encourages reps to pressure merchants to lease equipment, high turnover, sales strategy is to sale and move to your next victim- does not want rep to assist customers in any form after the sale. Most miserable job I have ever held.

    Pros

Unlimited earning potential, flexibility with hours, great culture. TransFirst is moving in the right direction towards an environment that encourages learning and self development.

    Cons

Challenging for those who refuse to put in the required effort. Consistency with daily activity is essential to success.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in business development to create a more sustainable opportunity. Build stronger marketing campaigns for referral partnership opportunities.
