    Pros

    Supportive senior leadership. Well-respected in the community as well as within the insurance industry. Numerous advancement opportunities, especially if you're mobile.

    Cons

    It's a large public corporation, so at the end of the day, the company need to be run as such. Also, while not super blatant, the corporate politics play a part in enhancing or disrupting employees' opportunity to advance career-wise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Figure out how to retain top talent, particularly minorities. Company loses talented minorities usually after failing to promote them when the time is due.

    Depressing environment!
    Everyone was in a clique!
    Metrics were COMPLETELY unrealistic!
    Even though QUALITY was supposed to be the main emphasis, QUANTITY outweighed every time!
    Managers had childish agendas & whispered amongst themselves constantly!
    Employees are just numbers.

    Pay more attention to your employees' happiness! Without employees you have no customers!

    Pros

    Location was good. Could work from home if ill or sick child in some areas.

    Cons

    Overall poor leadership skills, back stabbing, would throw employees "under the bus" , took credit for your work, constantly stressed, overworked, worked late hours b/c management would track who's online at 11:00 at night. Many folks seemed nervous, ill-at-ease, worried, stressed in general a bad environment that breeds bad behavior.

    Great training programs, internal development programs if you take advantage of them. A solid team environment which is essential for survival.

    Cons

    Micromanaged, very rare to receive raises or bonuses. Unfair reviews that do not reflect real performance. The long-term employees make less than the new hires.

    Compensation should be commiserate with work produced and not based on arbitrary reviews by disgruntled directors.
