    Pros

The portfolio is top notch with consistent awards and the people are wonderful.

    Cons

There's a lot of communication so managing that can be difficult at times.

    Advice to Management

Communications need to be consistent and streamlined--there are too many fire drills.

    Pros

Beautiful location to work and pride in being part of a team of excellent people producing a great product

    Cons

Constant change in management, direction, and frequent layoffs. You wouldn't know someone was gone until you tried to email them and they weren't there any more. It was a revolving door of people being laid off, hired, and laid off.

    Advice to Management

Find your direction and stick with it and prioritize your experienced people and talent.

    Pros

Really like that the strategy is to invest in selling/marketing the most premium brands while maintaining scale. This is in line how consumers and the market are growing. Company culture and teamwork is also improving.

    Cons

Lots of extra effort and time to get the company back on track to delivering strong results. Having to correct or address many of the past challenges before moving ahead.

    Pros

Great book of luxury wines. Some good people are still in place but most have been leaving or trying to leave for years.

    Cons

Pressure to inflate forecast on high volume brands that have been in decline for years. Lots of finger pointing and firing good people instead of addressing real issues with realistic plans. Pathetic and dishonest business practices especially regarding goals and forecasting. Have any other wine producers had to destroy appx $150 million in wine? Shareholders are suing for a reason.

    Advice to Management

If any of you ever possessed honesty and integrity, try to revisit those days.

    Pros

Worked for TWE 4 years ago for 2.5 years. In that time I had 8 new managers, and had to fire an entire team of excellent people. There was little communication, NO training, and no direction. Recently, I accepted a position after being gone for 3 years. So happy I did. Brands are amazing, management gives clear direction, training has been helpful. My boss communicates with me on a weekly basis. There is no doubt in my mind what the priorities are for this fiscal. I feel as if the company is headed in the right direction. Great work life balance, good benefits. everything I'd hope the company would be it has become.

    Cons

Feels as if the people in Napa office have better access to job opportunities, learning experiences and relationship building, but most companies are like that. Its the hazard of working remotely.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great communication. Keep focus in the direction, don't adjust half way through.

    Pros

Great brands, amazing wine, fantastic properties

    Cons

This large, foreign owned company manages to pull all the fun out of working in wine. I did't mind all the changes, but the overall company feeling was so off, and their priorities were misplaced.

    Pros

There was a great work/life balance. I never felt like I had to put my job before my family or my health. There are some great employees there who can't really do their jobs the way they'd like to.

    Cons

More and more Australians were sent over to do jobs that could have been handled by a US based employee. It seemed that money was thrown away in bringing these folks over versus spending the money on employee training, bonuses or incentives, or other perks for the employees who worked their tails off!

    Advice to Management

Let America manage America! The Australians, while well meaning, have no clue how to effectively run business in the US, from office set up, to management style, to US laws, to policy and procedure.

    Pros

horizontal pyramid. friendly workforce. decent location.

    Cons

Weak upper management. confused middle management. Every 6 months they fire people and hire new ones. No long term growth strategy. Management does not care about employees. Stuck up Australian and British management.

    Advice to Management

resign and let more competent people take your places.
