ConsIt's tough to balance school and work. It's a 24/7 job.

Working at Troy University in an unconventional but necessary position was a challenge

SGA President (Former Employee) Troy, AL

ProsGreat honest employer. Troy University is a growing university. Professors overall. Small campus to get to know your professor. Town is quaint.

ConsNot much to do in the City of Troy. It is very difficult to matriculate through the professional ladder at Troy.

    Terrible mistake, terrible school

    Recruiter (Current Employee) Tampa, FL

ProsTechnically gaining experience in desired field of student services/higher education

ConsTruly nothing positive to say - no direction, no real training, expect 24/7 commitment to Troy, but provide no reason to think Troy is anything more than second rate. Management has no idea what they're doing or what they want - expect recruiters to magically bring in hundreds of 'quality' students with no regard for how to do it and reject every idea of how improvements could be made. Feel stuck and desperate, and the management's attitude is that anyone should just be grateful to have a job.

Advice to Senior ManagementReconsider the structure of employees/management/global campus offices - students need advising/admissions assistance locally

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
