    Pros

If you work as directed, you will make more than $50k without a degree. There is no heavy lifting; you knock on doors and talk to people about the things happening in their lawns.

    Cons

You will work 3,800 hours a year. You will knock on 100 doors a day, each logged into an iPhone. When it gets dark, you'll go to the office and call people until 9pm. You'll hate your life.

    Advice to Management

    Quality trumps quantity

    Pros

Great environment. Great local managers. Great hours.

    Cons

Not a lot of opportunity to advance. Pay could be much better.

    Advice to Management

Increase overall pay. This reduces the turnover rate.

    Pros

Pay is good, people are nice

    Cons

Door to door sales. Soliciting people at home. It sucks

    Advice to Management

Do away with the 6 day work week. Allow employees to work to live and not live to work

    Pros

Continuous opportunity to improve sales skills. Switching gears throughout the season and promoting several product lines is refreshing. Build relationships with customers over time. Seeing new hires develop. Compensation is based on one's ability to produce. Unlimited earning potential. Good communication between sales and production departments. Steadfast upper management. Planned execution throughout.

    Cons

Adapting to this type of work can be a challenge to new hires at times.

    Advice to Management

Bring back Duncan Donut's coffee in the break room please.

    Pros

A decent salary based on 40 hour work week. Little to no previous sales experience is necessary Very simple tasks. .

    Cons

Long hours. Square peg, square hole job. Advertised as a sales position, though I was actually required to be a telemarketer for 10 hours a day during the week, and only got Sundays off. Very high turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

Honesty is the best policy, though the management team was constantly setting unrealistic expectations. It crossed the border of optimism and into blatant lies. A company should always hold itself to a strict set of morals.

    Pros

the best part about working for trugreen is definatly the pay. After commission there is the potential to earn a good amount.

    Cons

Little to no time off, if you work in the sales department you will work six days a week for most of the year. This leads to high turnover in the sales team

    Advice to Management

less hours and employes will stick around longer

    Pros

Base pay is good if you can live on $500.00 a week before deductions. Co-workers are the best part of the job.

    Cons

Commission structure sucks. You have to sell your butt off to make 1%. Hours are horrendous..they lie to you about how many you will put in. Hope you like working in thunder storms, hail, sleet, etc. All they care about are the numbers. God forbid you need time off! No life/work balance with this company. You are paid a salary and work 70+ hours a week. Then you get switched to hourly and your hours get reduced to a maximum of 30 if you're lucky. Most sales staff gets laid off instead. They micromanage you by tracking you with a GPS in your phone....better not have to go to the bathroom while you are out on your route! 5 employees quit during my first 3 days!!!

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to potential employees and customers. You would have a much better retention rate.
