    Development, Work-Life Balance, Growth

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsTrue Partners is unlike your typical accounting firm. True Partners values employee growth, work-life balance, and employee happiness above all. The culture created at True Partners is what attracts employees and what keeps employees.

ConsThere are few, if any, downsides to working at True Partners. Like any tax firm you will be busy during certain times of the year but the company helps keep employees happy during those times.

Concerned about long-term viability of company

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsNice enviroment. Friendly people. The work-life balance IS really good. Supervisors and management are interested in helping those below learn and adjust.

ConsAgreed that there can be somewhat of an "unprofessional" environment that is not present in the large firms, but they're owned by private equity and my concern is what would happen if the value reaches its peak and they want to dump it. It's just another investment to them; nothing more.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

ProsTPC offers a great culture and excellent work life balance. You are instantly part of the family!

ConsThe company does not generally hire outside of a select few schools.

Advice to Senior ManagementOpen up recruiting to more schools to spread the company name.

    Brilliant culture

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGreat people, ludicrously welcoming culture, breaks the mold of a tax consulting firm. It's almost hard to leave TPC, once you do you are itching to return down the line.

ConsThe various locations are very silo-ed off which is excellent for their autonomy, but the opportunity to collaborate across regions would be nice.

    Accounting-lite

    Tax Consultant (Former Employee)
    Tampa, FL

    ProsGreat hours
    Actually pays overtime
Treats employees well (most of the time)

    ConsLow pay
    Work enviornment can be unprofessional
    Limited client opportunities

Advice to Senior ManagementTrue Partners is a fun place to work, but the fun can lead to unprofessionalism. The best thing about working at TPC is the positive environment, but that can also hide real problems in management.

    Very Negative Atmosphere

    Tax Consultant (Former Employee)
    San Jose, CA

    Pros- Great training ground
    - The Partners have really good intentions
    - They'll feed you during busy season

Cons- Lunches and parties don't negate the enormous amount of day-to-day negativity
    - No work-life balance
    - Very condescending Operations Manager and Senior Staff

Advice to Senior ManagementTo the San Jose office: If most of your employees are leaving after your train them, maybe you should investigate that further.

Great place to be a part of from the ground floor.

    Tax Consultant (Current Employee)
    Chicago, IL

ProsManagement is forward thinking and takes care of its employees. I'm very proud to be working for a firm that has taken charge of the market and is able to expand its business while most other companies are contracting.

ConsThe workload can be rough, but it's never to difficult to manage.

Advice to Senior ManagementMaintain a confident tone about the viability of the firm's growth amidst our beleaguered economy.
