My 1st year and a half were excellent...Then, upper management changed and the morale went out the window.

    Pros

My original DM was amazing. He supported us and made sure we were all successful.

    Cons

After the change in upper management, the company will never be the same. "Do more with less", "save your way to success" & "I understand you'll have to take a pay cut...." all became common conversations. The corporate neglect to the evident problem at hand is causing the company to emplode. I have never seen a district have so much turn over- everyone quit! Enough is enough, someone needs to step in and recognize the problem or the shareholders are in for a huge disappointment!

    Advice to Management

Take a look at you newest upper management team. Look at the trends on the district and recognize when things began to go down hill...there is your answer.

    Pros

The working environment is great! I loved my co-workers, and even though the work wasn't easy, it was rewarding, and the atmosphere was positive. Even without great pay, I would've stuck it out for awhile, simply based on the friendships formed.

    Cons

Mediocre pay, poor communication from management, too much work for too few employees, double-standards, favoritism, two-faced management, slow changes, and cliquey attitudes of some of the management.

    Advice to Management

If not for the way my position was terminated, my opinion would have been through the roof. As a result of back-handed reviews and crummy communication, I do not believe that this department is running healthily or with enough close supervison over the department's management. All contrasting or innovative opinions or ideas are quickly snuffed out or stolen from the originators, and anyone who is perceived to be a threat to management is removed and slandered. Looking for ways to cut costs is one thing, but to decide staff members are no longer necessary when the goal of the company is constantly preached as growth is counter-productive. More growth should equate to more work, more jobs, and more employees. The management seems to believe that they can accomplish growth while cutting staff and use that additional money for their own purposes.

    Pros

Sales personnel have huge potential for high income if the operations side of the business is performing well

    Cons

There have been a lot of changes the entire time I've worked here which has created a low morale and a ton of turmoil.

    Pros

Great Management, relaxed, stress-free environment even when its busy
    Opportunities to move up
    Super flexible schedule

    Cons

Outreach and Marketing strategies are dated, ex: making cold calls from phone-book listings to spread the word of the agencies job opportunities
Antique websites that require internet explorer
training doesn't really exist, isn't communicated properly

    Advice to Management

the websites need a a major update as well as marketing
I didn't know we had to do online training until 3 months later

    Pros

When I started with them they had a good solid staff, and a plan to improve their technology and IT practices.

    Cons

The good solid staff were driven away when the company started blindly following trends and gave it's future away to a consulting group. The most successful Senior management was the most political and least effective I have ever seen.

    Advice to Management

Find a management team with the strength and desire to actually manage IT rather than trying to offload it to third parties. Don't politicize software development so much, demand higher quality from the contract consultants.

    Pros

Paid mileage, health benefits. Unless youre upper management there aren't many pros.

    Cons

No raises, on call 24/7, management is lazy but takes credit for all of your work.

    Advice to Management

Try to carry your own weight.
