I worked at Truland Systems full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Truland Systems and all of its subsidiaries had unlimited and untapped potential, caring employees and great reputation among its customers and competition.

    Cons

The company closed all of its offices and terminated all of its employees abruptly on July 21, 2014 after over 100 years in business.

    Pros

Good project opportunities Diverse community Good benefits, tuition reimbursement(but not fees be careful) telecommuting work available Relatively good location on beltway

    Cons

Upper management salaries not fair Lack of bonus is a huge incentive to find new jobs Lack of cost of living increase, let alone raise for performance is another incentive to find a new job Highly trained under paid employees are given low level tasks Union employees are paid dramatically higher for same tasks(AutoCAD) Total lack of collaborative effort between divisions of the corporation.

    Advice to Management

Top level management(IE The CEO) needs to reel in the second tier of office management. Information only goes one direction in the company(upward), and decisions about lower level employees are made without any sort of consultation of people who are directly involved with the consequences of such decisions.
