    Pros

Bosses and coworkers are great people. Job security is amazing and working with the students is a fantastic experience

    Cons

Pay day is the 15th of the month...not very ideal given that your bills are usually due before that time.

    Cons

office culture kinda sucks, i get no benefits especially dental. Truman also does not allow for personal growth, it's actually a prison and will suck the every living daylight out of you

I have been working at Truman State University part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Community feel
    being able to help people

Everyone is really nice but if I could go bback I wouldn't have worked here because of the low pay and rude atmosphere.

    Cons

People where not willing to work together all the time many people wanted to not be corporative which hindered getting things done and making other people feel relaxed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to reinforce a better atmosphere.

I have been working at Truman State University full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility in hours. Flexibility to decide how to break down tasks and manage my day. Positive, friendly co-workers. Most staff and faculty committed to student success and to the University mission. Administration has been working hard recently to at least keep pay rising at the same rate as inflation. Current University President is a wonderful leader, and taking the school in a great direction.

    Cons

Missouri state funding better than in other states, but still declining. Means higher work load with fewer people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To direct management: Create avenues for effective and regular communication across the office. I would love to be involved in decision-making where it concerns my position and duties. Also, communicate your expectations proactively, instead of scolding when things don't go the way you envisioned internally. Most importantly, fully embrace technology as an asset you must invest in to succeed, rather than as something to do "when we get the chance."
