I have been working at Trump Resorts full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great management team in very difficult market conditions. Successfully managing three distressed properties in the past 4+ years. Bob Griffin as CEO and former CFO, David Hughes, were very respectable and highly motivated people to work for.

    Cons

Wish we were in a better market.

I have been working at Trump Resorts full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Free employee meals during your shift break.

    Cons

Everything about the company from the internal attitude of supervisors down to the basic level employee. The pay is horrible considering the abuse you have to deal with in the hospitality/ gaming environment. If you are college educated, do yourself a huge favor and don't waste your valuable time in life working at a casino, unless you have low confidence and expectations for yourself and you're content with it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to notice and promote the hard working, savvy intellectual employees that have college degrees, and other credentials. They might tend to have the better minds and aptitude for making important decisions. Stop promoting favorites strictly based on the liking of ones personality, image, or politics in the organization. Management needs to make better calculated decisions with supportive proof backing it.

I worked at Trump Resorts part-time

    Pros

Management and co-workers have been extremely friendly and supportive; like family. I couldn't have done this job without them!

    Cons

No one's gotten a raise during my time working there. No opportunity to be full time. Other part time dealers have to moonlight at other casinos. Steadily declining toke rate. Competition from PA casinos have made a visibly obvious impact. Customers are hostile. I haven't felt safe working there ever since several incidents that have occurred inside and outside the casino.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give raises once in a while. Hire and promote internally. Many long time, loyal supervisors and pit managers were laid off when they shouldn't have. Employee morale plummeted after this. Give partial benefits to part time employees. This place will need a complete overhaul to even come close to returning to it's glory days.

    Cons

Standing Post at Elevators on marble floor for 8 hours. Everybody you work with seems to hate their job.

    Pros

Loyal Staff, most have been there since the Casino opened in the 80's.
    Great location on the Boardwalk

    Cons

Needs renovations to keep up with other Atlantic City hotels

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please put the money into renovating the property, if done right the place could be a top Atlantic CIty casino.

I worked at Trump Resorts full-time

    Pros

Coworkers are supportive and middle management is respectful to workers and line employees. Scheduling is people-friendly and tries to accommodate workers needs.

    Cons

Corporate types have taken over upper management and are out of touch with what motivates their workforce. Increasing the bottom line at all costs has taken over the company at every level and in all departments, Severe employee cutbacks and layoffs have made it difficult for those people who survived the cuts. It is no longer a nice place to work and morale is at an all-time low

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Turn over the keys to the kingdom! I don't believe those in charge can change their evil ways. A new business model needs to emerge before this company can once again be a nice place to work,

I worked at Trump Resorts full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

My co-workers were for the most part great! They, again for the most part, were professionals. Most of them gave 100% everyday to a company that doesn't give them 100% back.

    Cons

Just in the last year Trump Taj Mahal and Trump Plaza has cut sick days from 6 days a year to 4 days a year (average person misses 6 days a year) They took away employees two personal days and they changed their medical benefits again.
The management/supervisor team in my department was frankly a disgrace...rude to their employees, unprofessional, some of them sleep on the job and they are lacking communication skills to properly communicate with their employees.
The overall Trump Taj Mahal management team is unaware of just how many employees are not happy with working there. They keep taking away from their employees and think there is no consequences for doing that. The pay is low for how much employees are asked to do and the hours they are required to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at other areas of cost cutting prior to taking more and more from the employees. It's great to get paid weekly, but cheaper to pay bi-weekly...great to get a paper check, but cheaper to require direct deposit, great to get free food in the employee cafe...but better to have good benefits and time off.
