Great company and good pay with fair work load

Senior Engineer (Current Employee)
Hsin-chu (Taiwan)

I have been working at Tsmc full-time for more than 5 years

ProsThe following are the good part I feel about the company.
For the spend rate in TW, 100k USD is a lot here.

No lay off
Good pay
Advance technology
Diverse Works

ConsThe work load is very heavy and also very tough, and of course, it is exciting as well.
However, you won't have personal life here. That is the problem.

In the upper management part, here is very politic. Upper managers changed all the time.

Heavy work load
very politic

ProsThe company invests large sector of capital into research and development. Good place for technology development, since sufficient resources are available.

ConsThe management emphasize very much on personal performance. Some people use 'strategies' to obtain credits. But the 'strategies' can be immoral. The environment is quite political.
