I have been working at Tudor Investment Corporation full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

On the right team, you can contribute a lot, as many areas (quantitative development, risk, software, trader's assistants/middle office) are absurdly understaffed given the size and complexity of the funds. If you are self-motivated and reasonably smart, you will have the chance to learn a diverse array of skills. Work-life balance is very reasonable, and the accommodate working remotely.

    Cons

Culture is bifurcated between PMs/partners and everyone else. Compensation structure probably has something to do with this: Don't expect a "Wall Street bonus" if you are a regular employee. There are many fiefdoms with the company, and middle/upper managers must constantly fight to protect their borders. In many cases, group performance is determined by "the narrative" constructed by group head rather than reality.

I worked at Tudor Investment Corporation as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Great culture, people know each other, workload is reasonable (depends on manager of course), opportunities to have lunch with upper management (incl. Paul Tudor Jones). HR does a good job of ensuring interns get a chance to know the firm outside of their department and has field trips to other financial institutions.

    Cons

There is a bit of bureaucracy lag when requesting support from back-office. I would also like to see some more feedback, it doesn't have to be very formal, but a few points about what's good and what could be improved can help interns (and current employees) for future careers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think firm is in a transitional phase as it continues growing, things start moving slower, as I noticed from a couple of back-office service changes.

    Cons

I worked at Tudor Investment Corporation as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Had the opportunity to work with many fantastic and extremely smart people. They made you feel welcome and involved in many aspects of daily work even though you were only going to be there a couple months.

    Cons

Being a fairly small firm was nice in many aspects but it also limited your experiences somewhat so it was kinda a catch 22.
