I enjoyed my time as a co-op student at TCCO.

    Pros

I have been lucky enough to be on projects with awesome people that make me laugh and enjoy going to work. Work-life balance was nonexistent for my first 6 years but that was more my issue due to the fact I want to be on my projects to make sure things get done they way I like.

    Cons

Not many perks due to the dreaded corporate ethics policy but that's where the industry has headed. that whole squeaky wheel saying is definitely true and it seems that while it matters that your ability determine your standing, your are more likely to be noticed if your direct manager is one of the in crowd.

    Advice to Management

Less corporate PR-type speak please. Give it to us straight.

    Pros

Employees are all very knowledgeable and willing to help.
Excellent mix of office work and field work which offers a different view of things.

    Cons

Can sometimes be too much paperwork, but very manageable.

    Pros

Good benefits, better work/life balance than heavy civil or other large commercial contractors.

    Cons

Traditional brute force culture is maintained as status quo and innovative thinking although talked about at some level, has not proliferated the whole company.

  6. Helpful (2)

good for young and ambitions engineers

    Pros

the best part of turner is getting to put TCCO on your resume when you leave

    Cons

the worst part about turner are the long hours, somewhat incompetent upper managment and high job turnover, so once you get good and setteled at a job, they up and move you, or someone who you are working with! :(

i would say that it is great for entry level for the experience but middle managment always gets better pay elsewhere

    Advice to Management

be more connected to your projects
