I worked at Tyco full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Flexibility, tuition reimbursement, incentives, weekly pay

    Cons

Call center atmosphere, communication is not there, constant shift bids, underpaid unless you have been with the company more than 5 years, complete micro management, policies constantly changing

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take into consideration that peoples lives are going to change with mandatory shift bids, be more transparent when it comes the policies that are to be put in place.

    Pros

Sensible colleagues, decent pay, good bosses. Longevity in hiring.

    Cons

Workload, low head count. UL/FM listings provide multiple obstacles in getting work done quickly. Bureaucratic organization. Way too much email.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more to spread the labor, especially in the Purchasing, Tech Services, and those who test new product. Upgrade to the SAP system would be highly recommend.

I have been working at Tyco full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great opportunity for sales professional if you are able to choose a vertical market.

    Cons

Good old boy network. Very limited opportunity in making a living if you are a veteran sales professional without having a protected territory to call on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop running district offices like franchises. Sales professionals need to report to other sales professionals (Sales Mgrs) and not service managers or district managers that have little to no sales experience.

I have been working at Tyco full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Benifits are not bad, vacation is good.

    Cons

favoritism, low pay, don't care if you have a family. broken down equipment; worried about bringing in robots to do job and don't bother to fix the other equipment that works with it. Never get what is needed to complete product on time. Always working into the weekend. 60 hour weeks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to keep managers and supervisors. Everyone leaves. Give better pay..don;t tell us that the company pays at or above what other companies in area do. Lowest paying company in Marinette. Bad Morale..nobody likes working here except for those that get there way. CEO has no idea what goes on in this company. Everything is hidden when they come to check in.
