    I worked at Tyson Foods

    Pros

Tyson has positions for beginners and professionals. They also have the appropriate training to form each person into a well rounded employee.

    Cons

Summers and holidays always include weekend work and possibly long days. It's not a job for everyone, but if you don't mind the cold and a high intensity environment it's a great place.

I have been working at Tyson Foods full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Health benefits are good. The company is solid. No problems getting home when needed.the equipment is well maintained.

    Cons

To much sitting at customers and plants.no detention pay for the delay time. And mileage pay is a bit low. Company meetings are more like dictations. Because you sit, listen and after the big wigs speak the meeting is over.no open discussion. To many changes in dispatch and company policies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To many chief's and not enough Indians.

I have been working at Tyson Foods as an intern (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Amazing people! It sounds cheesy, but they really made me feel like "part of the family". They did everything they could to provide me with any experience I wanted. I could work with the web development team for a few months, then mention that I'm interested in SAP development - and they would find a spot for me on a relevant team within a week or two. I never thought a Fortune 500 corporation could operate in such a friendly environment. I can't recommend them more.

    Cons

Some of the locations that are dedicated to Information Systems / Information Technology are a little out dated and run down. They aren't awful, just not as nice as the corporate headquarters.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
