I worked at Tyson Fresh Meats full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The team is great !! All the team at CB focuses on quality and food safety. A great place to work and advance if you are highly motivated to accomplish the work load.

    Cons

The work pace is fast and demanding. As a part of a real team, attendance is a must.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would advise more team building. Not enough opportunities for supervisors and team members interaction in a social setting. Expansion of the plant at CB is a must to keep it viable for the region.

    Great company to work with

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Tyson Fresh Meats full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The opportunities for advancement and better pay is important. The benefits are good and the annual opportunity for a bonus is another pro. Pay is above average for many positions within the company, and employees are able to move into new positions when new opportunities become available.

    Cons

Some weeks involve longer hours than typical which can be stressful. Sometimes mistakes are made which creates extra work to resolve. The company is so large that sometimes it can be difficult locating exactly who is needed to gain information or locate information that is desired.

I worked at Tyson Fresh Meats full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

It's work in the chosen field

    Cons

Documents, including the original FMLA request mysteriously vanished! Forced quit while on FMLA! Loss of income, home and stability after nine years of dedicated service!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The buck is always passed to another! My social security number was inaccurate because it was input incorrectly for benefits! FMLA, received a "threat" to come back to work or loose the job when FMLA was legally in place! Forced quit while on FMLA in another state for care! Quit manipulating your workers who have given so much for you to have nice homes etc.
