I worked at U-Haul part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Flexible Hours, Equipment Discounts, and Part Time Employment.
I really have nothing good to say about this company, it's management, and it's business practices.

    Cons

Discrimination of women...It's a Good Ole Boy Club
Pay is low & raises are non-existent
Moral is horrible, Benefits, Advancement Opportunities, Work/Life Balance, Training is a joke. They absolutely do not care about their employees.
Complaints and recommendations to management are ignored. Their customer service is horrible as they consider complaints to be lies so the customer can get free services. They are concerned with their profit margin and nothing else.

I have been working at U-Haul part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

UHaul has one of the best training programs around, they stay update on what each employee needs as far as training programs almost on a daily basis so no one falls behind. They offer a good benefits package to full time employees medical, dental and 401k.

    Cons

Some of the work can be very physical, cleaning storage units and moving trucks and when its 100 degrees outside it proves to be very challenging. But if you have another employee helping you it makes the work go alot faster.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I feel there always needs to be two employees working if the location is open for when it gets busy and for security reasons. There is plenty of work to keep two people busy all the time.
