I have been working at U.S. Bank full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great PTO. Not that hard to make incentive. Financially strong.

    Cons

Inconsistent management. Not much help getting sales...the leads are a joke they'll be prequalified you call, customer says yes then they're turned down 80% of the time anyway. Lower paying than regional banks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put more focus on the customer not on the sale.

Former Employee - Part Time Teller in Parker, CO

I worked at U.S. Bank part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits: health insurance is top notch.
Bankers hours: No Sundays, work from 8 to 1 on Saturday and you're out by 6 pm during the rest of the week.
    Great staff:

    Cons

If you have an outgoing, extrovert kind of personality, you get to;d to be quiet a lot. I ended up just not talking, unless it was with a customer or on the phone. You stand all day with little day except when it is busy like early in the morning and then again in the evening. They tell you there's room for advancement, but you have to be there a really long time to get anywhere (more than a year or 2).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to loosen up. Just because it's a bank, doesn't mean you have to be a robot when interacting with people. Fun is acceptable in the real world.
