    Pros

    Friendly management, free phone and great benefits. Okay commission and leadership seems they know what they are doing for the most part.

    Cons

    Never get to pick your own phone. The manager can make or break you, so get in with the click or your going to be let go very quickly

    Advice to Management

    Continue to invest in technology as it will make or break any wireless company, and continue to develop and promote within.

    Great benefits! Happy workplace with happy employees. So happy to have worked her for four years. Paid for half of my education.

    Pros

    U.S. Cellular is full of talented people from diverse background. Their is a strong focus on the customer but this has slowly moderated over the years due to business concerns.

    Cons

    The culture, formerly so dominant in daily work-life, has been slowly fading over the past few years. The question of how long USCC will stay independent is a perpetual one, and resources have become more scarce as the current CEO focuses on cutting costs to raise margins. Processes can be stifling and be prepared to fill out a form for everything.

    Advice to Management

    If you want to be able to move fast you need to delegate from the VP level down and streamline all of the processes implemented to "speed things up". USCC is not AT&T or Verizon and should not move like these behemoths in evaluating a getting products to the market.

    Pros

    I love being able to be in charge of how much money I make that determines my commission. You really can be like your own boss.

    Cons

    I feel that the extra expectations are unrealistic based on the current pay and the time constraints. They need to be more flexible w/ hours for outside events.

    Advice to Management

    Upper management needs to stop with the micromanaging.

    Pros

    Strong culture of empowerment. Plenty of opportunities for growth as long as someone is willing to work hard. Compensation is competitive. Customer focus is strong and industry leading.

    Cons

    Little fish in big pond and getting harder to compete with the big 4. Work / life balance is non existent at times because the demands of the business are very high.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to drive operational efficiencies to improve cost structure. Balance the need to instill pride in what is being accomplished with reality of what competitors are doing to innovate. Be realistic about the future.

    Great Culture and People Work life balance is good

    Cons

    Senior leadership changes and competitor pressures have stripped the company culture of its value and returned the company back to a top down org. The enjoyment and fun of working here has trended downwards for many years.

    Reinvigorate the Culture instead of expecting it is just there...
