    Pros

For the most part, the company is willing to work with your schedule. I am a full time student and work part time. My coworkers also go to school and our store works to give us fixed schedules.

    Cons

    1. the pay. I have worked with companies that pay double for the same job that I have here
The hourly pay used to be fine, because the job was just sales. Slowly the company got rid of Service Techs, giving that role to the already there sales people. Then the inventory position was taken away from stores, so now the job of keeping up with orders and packages falls on the sales people. The job is Sales, so being off the floor impacts the Associates ability to make sales.
That would not be a big deal if they paid the associates more for the tasks they have had to pick up.
    2. The Commission Structure. Understandably, companies change the structure to fit changing demands, but the way the company has changed the structure, along with changing the sales associate dynamic makes it increasingly difficult to reach the quotas, let alone hitting above the target.
    3. Communication is Terrible! The communication in the West region is terrible. Information to the front line associates from management is non existent.

    Advice to Management

    Communicate
increase hourly pay along with the increase of functions that the sales associate has had to take on.

    Pros

The values behind the company are real.

    Cons

The company is cutting management, leadership and support roles in order to save money..

    Advice to Management

Sometimes management make decisions that look good on paper.. but they truly end up costing the company more in OT or churn of the other roles that get double the work. Pay is not fair for what people do at some positions.

  9. Great culture and genuine concern for the customer

    Pros

The people. One of the few jobs where you can make $40k+ with a high school diploma. The culture. Empowered associates. Opportunity for advancement.

    Cons

Some upper level management gives canned responses to "desired feedback." A lot is asked of front line associates. Aggressive quotas to keep up with the bigger companies. Revolving initiatives.

    Advice to Management

Use your culture survey to REALLY listen to the people. You have some of the best people loyal to you. The culture survey action plans are regurgitated same old same old year over year. Try to truly hear the voice of the people.
