They have a great reputation, and are well respected in the industry. They do offer some opportunities that are worth working there. Looks great on a resume.

Cons

Not easy to get ahead...there is a lot of competition, and most of the good jobs are held by insiders who all seem to stick together.

Advice to Senior Management

Try to get more involved with employees at lower levels, at client accounts and other 'backwater' locations. Spending a little time with staff makes a huge difference...it tells them that they mean something to you. After all, they are putting money in your pocket every day.

Pros

USER is a top-notch commercial real estate firm led by experts in the industry who pride themselves on their work. The firm is very involved in charities, civic issues and gives back to the community. Robert Wislow, CEO, is personally dedicated to promoting up-and-coming artists and designers. He is an avid collector of modern art and mid-century furniture and the office is like a gallery!

Cons

Management didn't really have their finger on the pulse of what was going on with their operational and support staff and in my opinion, chose to insulate themselves from conflict issues.
