Pros
Management will treat like a person not a number. Work hard and you will be rewarded as far as early raises or time off! Open door policy and warehouse helps drivers making sure pallets are stacked and loaded correctly. Drivers help warehouse load trailers if they are short handed or overwhemled big night.
Cons
Sales need to work with drivers and pull head out of the there rear!!
Advice to Senior Management
Force sales to work with drivers!
Pros
Money, outside sales, Good promos
Cons
Very competitive, work sunday no respect
Advice to Senior Management
More selling less running will calls
Pros
Room for growth if you will work for it. US Foods is about as transparant as a company of its size can be, demands honesty from its employees- only way i would have it. Trys to focus on their customers.
Cons
At times the SR leadership isnt on the same page with the real world. We need to remember its all about the customer and the TM and not always the bottom line.
Advice to Senior Management
Get out of the office and away from the spreadsheets. Go see our customers and workwith our reps to see whats really going on.
Pros
Good medical and dental benefits
Cons
*Management is lacking in all areas from the top to middle management
*People are getting let go left and right from the company.
*The office need to be updated and depressing to work in. I have been in other friends offices and makes this place look like the ghetto.
*The direction of the company does not reflect what is being talked out from corporate.
Advice to Senior Management
Learn to train better, talk to your employees and stop getting rid of key people that have been giving back to the company %100.
Pros
Management expects employees to have good balance of home and work life
Cons
Corporate attitude is hard sometimes
Pros
Some of the people are decent.
Cons
The vacation and benefit package is ridiculously outdated. Additionally, they company does not recognize all national holidays. I have never seen a company not recognize New Year's day off. The distribution centers are closed on New Year's day if they have union representation, but the corporate office...which consists of exempt, professional people who have to get the job done no matter what...is open. And, the executives wonder why the people seek union representation. No work-life balance. No telecommuting. This company is really behind the times.
Advice to Senior Management
Update the vacation policy and give employees all national holidays off. Focus on work-life balance by offering flextime, telecommuting, and a competitive vacation policy. People are not happy and you will not retain people if they are not happy.
Pros
Good benefits
Management is considerate about creating work/life balance. They will work with you if you need time off and offer you a flexible schedule.
Cons
No promotion and pay level is below average of industry. You are usually stuck in your present position if nobody leave company.
Pros
Good starting salary. Great benefits
Cons
They promote high performing sales people to management who have great ability to sell, but no idea how to manage or lead. It's not the newly promoted managers fault either. They provide literally no training for that manager
Advice to Senior Management
Train middle management. The skills that make you a great salesman will kill you at the next level!
Pros
good benefits packages
bonuses
friendly coworkers
team enviroment
good support network
great facility
customer first attitude
Cons
aging fleet
no plans to update fleet
Pros
Good benefits
independence
pretty good benefits
it's a job
Cons
No respect for Employees
Difficult to do business with
TM's treated as disposable.
Advice to Senior Management
Work on your people skills. Understand and utilize a persons past experience and accomplisments. Try a little honesty and aviod being so insecure.
