I have been working at U.S. Security Associates full-time

    Pros

Great Pay and I like the post that i am currently at. If you get hired you get free training instead of paying a lot of money to get certified.

    Cons

I don't like how you don't earn PTO. You have to hit over 4000 hours of work to get 40 hours of vacation. I recommend changing that, because I been working for the company for almost 2 years and haven't been able to take a vacation day.

I have been working at U.S. Security Associates full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

People are great to work with. I really enjoy working with the legal group, but the other departments are hard to deal with. No synergy.

    Cons

Need new systems and processes. The company has doubled in size very quickly and the systems never caught up.

I have been working at U.S. Security Associates part-time

    Pros

    Decent pay great Co worker's

    Cons

Unorganized and uneducated site supervisors that don't have any part time people except for in armed gates and don't know one day to the next how shifts are going to get covered if an employee goes on vacation or gets sick and works all the full time people til they get burned out, very high turn over rate.

    Advice to Management

Get organized people running your sites and make sure there is part time people because people have lives outside of U.S. Security.

I worked at U.S. Security Associates full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They offer the best pay for security officers and EMT'S in Pittsburgh area. They have a cheap online training for new officers but most security companies that I have worked for don't offer any form of training. My coworkers we awesome and helped each other out. They are safety oriented and treat employees who work hard like gold.

    Cons

Limited opportunities for pay increases and the laughable heath plans area a big downside.

    Advice to Management

Offer better heath care options and give incentives to the hardworking employees.

I have been working at U.S. Security Associates full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I'm not unemployed and i receive 40 or more hours a week

    Cons

There is no work to do this is a job meant for lazy people 12 people have quit or relocated since I have worked here. My uniforms are falling apart I have been requesting new ones for 4 months still no new ones. Boss is unappreciative. This company is not a good career I am desperately trying to get another job with good benefits and a chance to advance. I have been with the company for 2 years. I can't quit because I have to pay bills.

    Advice to Management

Treat people the way you want to be treated
