    I worked at UAIG full-time

    Pros

Salary is high for the area but has to be to retain any talent. Otherwise, no one would put up with the hostile atmosphere.

    Cons

Owner is a bully and curses and screams when he doesn't get his way and refuses to listen to news he doesn't like

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote based on knowledge and facts and not upon skirts.

I worked at UAIG full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Hires from within
    Laid back office atmosphere

    Cons

Ridiculous workload which is totally unreasonable
    Bad raises
Does not reward hard work. If you don't talk crap about everyone in the office right along with the rest of them, you will not last long
Fires people that have been there 5 years +, so they can bring in less experience and pay them less

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Work on training, reward loyalty

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    I worked at UAIG

    Pros

Higher pay than similar jobs at other companies.

    Cons

They have fired almost everyone who has been there longer than 10 years and replaced with people with little or no experience. Morale is in the basement due to excessive workloads and capricious firings. Turn over is huge and loyalty is not rewarded. They will fire you for almost any reason and have manufactured reasons. Upper management takes no responsibility for their screw ups but blame a lesser employee as a scapegoat.

  8.

Very positive. Upper management very stylized. The company worked like a clock.

    I worked at UAIG

    Pros

I was kept in the loop and informed at every turn. The company would send in reps periodically to actually spend time with me and train me [offisite] on what they were looking for. No drama. Any changes that needed to be implemented were handled long-distance in a very professional manner.

    Cons

As usual, the horrendous hours, which everyone works. A little bit of micro-management when you needed office supplies and a totally crazy wait for items such as pens, etc. It was easier to just go buy them yourself.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow for personal and fun time for employees. They will stay longer.
