Pros
UBS is an internationally recognized financial services firm and a leader in the wealth management space. Good to have on the resume.
Cons
The firm is exiting many of its business and downsizing, thereby forcing employees to take on more responsibilities with few resources.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire a good consulting firm to review the business and processes in place to avoid further unexpected losses. Focus on what you can do well.
Pros
Matured Organization and decent people management skills.
Management ready to provide last min emergency off without fuss
Salary wise ok well that also depends upon your negotiation with the staffing agency.
Cons
Well i was a contractor so really no benefits from UBS HR or as such. No trainings, no clear career growth, no progression or work for very long to become eligible to get into perm role. I think its better to join ubs as perm staff than a contract
No input requested from contract staff when making decision effecting the way contract staff works
Advice to Senior Management
Take contract staff inputs while making decision changes that effect their careerm growth and their satisfaction level.
Pros
The benefits package is quite flexible and generally good.
Cons
Lacks consistent vision.
Too many management changes, leading to changes in vision.
Too slow to make decisions.
Simple decisions need to go to senior management when they should be dealt with by more junior management.
Advice to Senior Management
Cut out the beaurocracy.
Pros
You make a lot of money and it provides with you great benefits on top of all of the other great things it does.
Cons
It also can be boring and kind of sucks to have to report to a boss and have to follow a lot of rules.
Advice to Senior Management
They are pretty good but could definitely use some consulting management to change a few things about how they run things there.
Pros
Positive atmosphere, Can do approach, Accountability & Responsibility
Cons
Last couple of years has been a challenge due to extraneous situations. Hope 2012 to be a turn around year
Pros

Cons
Not everyone is that much motivated, a little bit lack of efficiency when processing some works. compensation in china is not the global pay.

Excellent Risk control framework
Models are fantastic: fast, easy to use and intuitive.
Trading team works like a team and knows what they are doing
Cons
Zero bonus paid out in 2009
Too much turnover over the last few years
Senior management didn't set expectation right
Advice to Senior Management
Bring Oswald Gruebel back
Cut out unprofitable business and focus on client business
Do not spin off the investment bank
